The problem of spam and scam calls is becoming a major concern, affecting user experience and personal information security.

Advanced technology solutions

To protect its customers, MobiFone has implemented advanced technological solutions to better safeguard them against cybersecurity risks, combat high-tech crime, minimize fraudulent calls from unregistered SIM cards and spam calls, and protect personal data.

Recently, the network operator has also continuously communicated to raise customer awareness about their rights and responsibilities in jointly addressing spam calls by reporting these behaviors through the customer support hotline, the My MobiFone website/app, the fanpage, and the 5656 number.

The corporation has built a system to monitor and block spam calls in accordance with the criteria set by the Telecommunications Department for network operators regarding the prevention of spam calls, proactively blocking spam call subscribers based on evaluation criteria, and monitoring when the system detects them.

Accordingly, in addition to receiving feedback from citizens via the 5656 hotline and the Customer Support Hotline, the corporation has also proactively built an automated system to monitor and block spam calls (SPAMCALL System) to promptly prevent subscribers from making harassing calls to customers.

At the same time, network operators are also proactively optimizing their systems to improve monitoring efficiency, changing monitoring rules/thresholds to block suspected spam calls, and enhancing the effectiveness of monitoring/blocking spam calls on the network.

As a result, the number of spam messages and calls blocked has increased significantly, saving customers a lot of inconvenience.

Complete and add functions

Mobile network operators advise customers that when they receive survey messages about spam calls (sent as Flash SMS immediately after calls showing signs of spamming), users can proactively cooperate by responding (choosing "Yes" or "No") to help network operators accurately filter and handle violating calls.

Currently, network providers are working urgently to complete and add a function to advise and answer customer questions about fraudulent calls.

This aims to raise awareness and help customers identify and avoid increasingly sophisticated scams, contributing to the protection of information security and user rights.

Blocking spam and scam calls is not just a matter of technical procedures; more importantly, it's about customer experience and satisfaction.
