On April 8, at the regular press conference of the first quarter, the leaders of Ha Long City People's Committee and Quang Ninh Department of Tourism informed about activities during the April 30 and May 1 holidays and the upcoming Ha Long Carnival 2024 event.
Accordingly, the Ha Long Carnival 2024 program with the theme "Light up with Wonders" organized by the People's Committee of Ha Long City, with the coordination of departments, branches, and sectors, and the support of corporations, service and tourism businesses will be held from 8:10 p.m. on April 28.
Vice Chairman of Ha Long City People's Committee Nguyen Ngoc Son said that for the first time, Ha Long Carnival has a new form, performing and parading on the sea, on the sandbank of Ha Long Bay with musical art elements, harmoniously combining history and culture to highlight the world natural heritage of Ha Long Bay at night.
The performance stage harmoniously combines onshore and at sea, with hundreds of ships and boats mobilized to participate in the parade.
Furthermore, the program also applies the most modern drone light technology, fireworks, mapping, LED, sound, and light.
In addition, during the April 30 and May 1 holidays, Quang Ninh also organized 11 different cultural, artistic, sports and tourism activities starting from April 20.
The most prominent of which is the opening of the walking street, Bai Chay Ward cuisine and the beer and squid cake festival. At this festival, visitors and locals will witness the making of the biggest squid cake in Vietnam to set a record.
