The area in front of the Big C supermarket at the Vung Tau intersection (Bien Hoa, Dong Nai ) is quite unsightly, so the local authorities want to clean it up and renovate it to create a highlight for this gateway location.
The People's Committee of Bien Hoa City (Dong Nai province) has recently sent a document to the Road Management Area IV (Vietnam Road Administration), the Dong Nai Department of Transport, and the Bien Hoa Public Service Management Board regarding the repair of sidewalks and planting of trees and grass in the safety corridor area of National Highway 1 passing through the city.
The aim is to beautify the urban landscape, create a unique identity, and eliminate the unsightly appearance at the gateways to the city and southern provinces.

According to our reporter's observations, the area in front of Big C supermarket at the Vung Tau intersection is only about 200 meters long, but it has many food stalls, drink vendors, motorbike parking areas, and scattered garbage.
According to the Bien Hoa City People's Committee, this land is located at Km1871+150, Km1871+400, and Km1871+350 on the left side of National Highway 1A, near the Vung Tau intersection, in front of Big C supermarket, in Long Binh Tan ward. This is an area with high traffic volume, especially during peak hours.
The land in question is zoned for transportation and urban green space. However, the section between Km1871+350 and Km1871+400 is currently vacant, neglected, and overgrown with weeds, leading to the formation of garbage collection points and encroachment that compromises traffic safety.
There are many makeshift shops and stalls in the area.
The section from approximately Km1871+150 to Km1871+350 is used by TMT Dong Nai Bus Station Co., Ltd., where they have built a bus station, parking lot, waiting area, administration building, restrooms, etc., to serve frequently used bus routes such as 6, 8, and 10.
However, many other rather unsightly business activities are also emerging here, detracting from the aesthetics.
According to local authorities, the land has been clearly zoned, but current land use is not in line with the plan.

Therefore, to ensure urban aesthetics and traffic safety, the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City has directed the City's Public Service Management Board to coordinate with Road Management Area IV and relevant units to develop a plan for repairing sidewalks, cleaning up and beautifying the urban area, and planting trees and grass.
For now, only the section from Km1871+350 to Km1871+400 on the left side of National Highway 1 will be implemented.
Some locations have become garbage collection points.
The People's Committee of Bien Hoa City continues to request relevant units to find a suitable location to relocate the bus station, restoring the land to its original state within the road safety corridor. They also request that Road Management Area IV approve the city's continued renovation, repair, and planting of trees and grass to create a focal point for this gateway.
The Road Management Area IV has also sent a document to the People's Committee of Bien Hoa City agreeing to allow the city to renovate an area of approximately 700m2 within the road safety corridor of National Highway 1.
Located between parallel road 2A and National Highway 1 in Long Binh Tan Ward, the proposed solution includes repairing sidewalks and planting grass interspersed with low-lying ornamental plants. The funding will be provided by the local government.
The area is overgrown with weeds and littered with trash.
Speaking to a reporter from Giao Thong Newspaper, Mr. Nguyen Van Thanh, Director of Road Management Area IV, said that the unit also agrees with the local authorities on the renovation of the road safety corridor in the area. Previously, they had approved the local authorities' request to renovate a section to add a highlight and enhance the beauty of the gateway area.
Regarding the remaining section, the unit also agrees with the renovation work. However, concerning the relocation of existing structures for implementation, the relevant local parties should proactively coordinate and discuss to find a suitable plan.
