According to Plan No. 137/KH-TLD on organizing the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market program of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), the market will have stalls providing essential goods and services at preferential prices, ensuring quality, and stalls offering free goods; giving gifts to trade union members and workers in difficult circumstances, low-income earners, those with outstanding achievements in production and business, and those participating in trade union activities; cultural, artistic, sports , and folk games activities; legal and health consultations, free medicine distribution, etc., for trade union members and workers; and other activities suitable to the actual conditions.

To celebrate the Lunar New Year of the Snake (2025), the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) will hold the opening ceremony of the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market program at the Hai Phong City Confederation of Labor; launching the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market program online, with the participation of Party and State leaders, the VGCL, local Party committees and authorities, businesses, and a large number of union members and workers. The opening ceremony is expected to take place in the middle of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon (2024).

In other units and localities, the Trade Union Tet Market will take place from January 1, 2025 to January 22, 2025 (i.e., from the 2nd to the 23rd day of the 12th lunar month of the Year of the Dragon); each program will be organized for a minimum of 2 days or more.

Depending on the conditions and capabilities, the Provincial and City Federations of Labor, the Central Industry Trade Unions and equivalents, and the Trade Unions of Corporations under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor shall organize the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market program in their localities and units, ensuring that it is appropriate, meaningful, economical, and focuses resources on caring for union members and workers.

Every trade union member and worker gets to celebrate Tet.

According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, the 2025 Trade Union Tet Market aims to mobilize the participation and cooperation of Party committees, authorities, employers, and the entire society to better care for the material and spiritual lives of union members and workers; and to bring quality products, goods, and services from domestic businesses and units to a large number of union members and workers.

This program also contributes to raising awareness and fostering closer ties between trade unions, businesses, and local Party committees and authorities in caring for and supporting union members and workers.

At the same time, the program brings quality products, goods, and services from domestic businesses and organizations to a large number of union members and workers in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 03-CT/TƯ of the Central Party Secretariat on strengthening the Party's leadership over the "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods" campaign in the new situation; helping union members and workers have the opportunity to access quality goods at preferential prices. It creates a strong shift in the awareness and actions of all levels of trade unions in effectively performing their functions and tasks, especially proposing new and effective methods and approaches to caring for the welfare of union members and workers.

The 2025 Trade Union Tet Market is an activity within the framework of the "Tet Reunion - Spring Gratitude to the Party" program, implemented nationwide by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with the motto "All union members and workers should have a Tet holiday".

According to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, after 10 years of implementing the "Tet Reunion - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" program, by early 2024, more than 168,000 Tet Reunion programs had been organized at all levels of trade unions, with over 29 million union members and workers participating, and a total expenditure of over 17,000 billion VND.
