Host city Ho Chi Minh City ranked third overall in the National Youth Canoeing Championship

(NLDO) - Taking place at Da Bang Lake (Nghia Thanh Commune, Ho Chi Minh City), the 2025 Youth, U21 and U23 Canoeing Championship has concluded after 6 days of exciting competition.

The 2025 Youth, U21 and U23 Canoeing Championships gather 19 delegations from provinces, cities and sectors including: Hanoi , Hai Phong, Da Nang, Thai Nguyen, Ca Mau, Phu Tho, Ninh Binh, Thanh Hoa, An Giang, Tuyen Quang, Vinh Long, Lam Dong, Quang Ninh, Quang Tri, Can Tho, Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Ho Chi Minh City and the Army. Athletes compete in a total of 97 events, including: youth (32 events), U21 (31 events) and U23 (34 events).

Hai Phong delegation affirmed their leading position when they won the overall title with 25 gold medals, 18 silver medals and 6 bronze medals. Da Nang delegation ranked second with 22 gold medals, 9 silver medals and 8 bronze medals. Host city Ho Chi Minh City competed with great effort, winning third place with 10 gold medals, 10 silver medals and 17 bronze medals.

Other delegations also had remarkable achievements: Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, An Giang , Army, Can Tho, Quang Ninh, Tuyen Quang, Ninh Binh, Thai Nguyen, Ca Mau, Hung Yen, Vinh Long, Bac Ninh, Quang Tri and Lam Dong all participated in many competitions, creating a fierce and diverse atmosphere for the tournament, while discovering many promising young faces.

Right after the canoeing tournament ends, on August 20, also at Da Bang Lake, the audience will continue to watch the National Traditional Boat Racing Championship with 18 events for men, women and mixed genders in boats with 10 and 20 rowers, distances of 1,000m, 500m and 200m.

This promises to be a vibrant highlight, attracting a large number of people to cheer.
