President: I deeply appreciate the farmers who rose from humble beginnings to become billionaires.

According to President Luong Cuong, the 63 outstanding farmers and 32 agricultural scientists honored are the most exemplary representatives, strongly inspiring aspirations and motivation to contribute to the country.

On the evening of October 14th, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Farmers' Association held a ceremony to honor and award the titles of Outstanding Vietnamese Farmers and Scientists for Agriculture in 2025. President Luong Cuong and representatives of the Party and State leadership attended the ceremony.

The farmer's scientist has tirelessly dedicated himself to creating new varieties of crops and livestock.

Speaking at the ceremony, President Luong Cuong emphasized that the 63 outstanding farmers and 32 agricultural scientists honored today are the most outstanding representatives of the results of their tireless and tireless labor, strongly inspiring the aspirations and motivation of Vietnamese people to contribute to the country and the community on the path to building a prosperous, civilized, and happy nation.

"We are truly moved and deeply appreciate the examples of farmers who started from nothing and, through hard work, creativity, perseverance, and effort, have become millionaires in the fields, legitimately enriching themselves, their families, and their communities."

These pioneering farmers actively participate in inventions and innovations in the digital transformation of agriculture.

These are examples of noble deeds such as donating hundreds of square meters of land to build new rural areas, protecting the country's borders, etc.

"I also know that there are scientists who have dedicated their entire lives to scientific research, agricultural scientists with a very high sense of responsibility, always diligently contributing to creating new plant and animal varieties, inventing and improving tools, bringing scientific and technical progress, contributing to increasing labor productivity, ensuring food security and enhancing the export competitiveness of Vietnamese agricultural products," the President emphasized.

On behalf of the Party and State leaders, the President highly appreciated, warmly congratulated, and commended the efforts, endeavors, and important contributions of outstanding exemplary farmers and agricultural scientists in the cause of national construction and renewal.

Promote the movement of farmers competing to excel in production and business.

According to the President, agriculture, farmers, and rural areas play a very important role in realizing the two strategic goals for the 100-year period.

Therefore, the President requested the Vietnam Farmers' Association to continue successfully implementing the revolution in reorganizing its apparatus towards a streamlined, strong, effective, efficient, and people-oriented structure. Regularly engage in dialogue, listen to the opinions of farmers, and promote and expand initiatives to listen to what farmers have to say.

Promote emulation movements associated with building new rural areas, especially the movement of farmers competing to excel in production and business, uniting to help each other get rich and achieve sustainable poverty reduction.

Let's work together to build a modern rural area with synchronized socio-economic infrastructure, a green, clean, and beautiful environment, a healthy and rich cultural life imbued with national identity, and social security and order, so that farmers in rural areas can have a better life.

The Vietnam Farmers' Association also needs to continue to strongly inspire and promote patriotism, self-confidence, self-reliance, self-strength, and the aspiration to rise up and legitimately get rich, so that farmers are truly the subjects and the center in agricultural development, rural economy, and the construction of new rural areas.

"Farmers' associations at all levels must have high determination, good measures, and closely coordinate with intellectuals and scientists to support and help farmers improve quality in the agricultural commodity production chain. At the same time, they must promote innovation and digital transformation in agriculture, protect the ecological environment, proactively integrate internationally, and preserve the cultural identity of the Vietnamese nation," the President emphasized.

The President expressed his hope that the outstanding Vietnamese farmers and state scientists honored today would continue to write and spread inspiring stories. He urged them to continue contributing, maintaining innovative approaches, and fostering solidarity and mutual support to achieve legitimate wealth for themselves, their families, and the country.
