Ho Chi Minh City Chairman Phan Van Mai directly directs the 10,000 billion VND flood prevention project.

On December 3, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Phan Van Mai signed a document assigning tasks to the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee in monitoring, directing and resolving pending and suspended projects. This assignment aims to promptly deploy, complete and put the projects into use to prevent waste and loss. Ho Chi Minh City will focus on resolving this issue in December 2024.

Specifically, Chairman of the City People's Committee Phan Van Mai directly monitors and directs key projects, including: BT project of Thu Thiem 2 Bridge (Ba Son Bridge); BT project to invest in the construction of 4 roads in Thu Thiem New Urban Area; BT project to build parallel roads from Mai Chi Tho Street through Nam Rach Chiec Residential Area to Ring Road 2.

Project to solve flooding caused by high tides in Ho Chi Minh City, phase 1, taking into account climate change factors (project invested 10,000 billion VND); Phan Dinh Phung Stadium project; Observation Tower Complex project in Thu Thiem New Urban Area; Saigon Safari Park - Cu Chi project; Land plot No. 01 Ly Thai To; National Cultural and Historical Park project; Binh Quoi - Thanh Da Urban Area project, Binh Thanh district.

Permanent Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Duong Ngoc Hai is responsible for directing the implementation of inspection conclusions, checking and handling related cases, focusing on: Land plot No. 8-12 Le Duan, Ben Nghe ward, District 1; land plot No. 2-4-6 Hai Ba Trung, Ben Nghe ward; Sing-Viet project, Binh Chanh district.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Vo Van Hoan monitors and directs projects on industrial parks and high-tech agriculture : Pham Van Hai Industrial Park 1 + 2, Le Minh Xuan 2, Le Minh Xuan expansion, Lang Le - Bau Co; City Aquaculture Center project in Can Gio district (99.99 ha); High-tech Agricultural Park project for the aquaculture industry in Can Gio district (89.74 ha); City Aquaculture Center in Phu Xuan commune, Nha Be district (71 ha).

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Bui Xuan Cuong is in charge of traffic and resettlement projects: Connecting Pham Van Dong Street to Go Dua intersection, National Highway 1 (Van Phu - Bac Ai); Binh An Water Plant.

Auction of resettlement projects: 3,790 Thu Thiem apartments and 953 apartments in Vinh Loc B Residential Area, Binh Chanh District; Lotte's Eco-smart city project; 230 Nguyen Trai and One Central HCM projects. Directing the review and handling of residential areas that have not been completed according to the planning.

Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Dung is responsible for supervising the audit and land use projects: Norfolk Hotel and Caravelle Hotel expansion; Land plot No. 2-4-6 Nguyen Hue for Majestic Hotel expansion; Tax Trade Center land (old); Land plot No. 62 Tan Thanh. Urging the review and handling of vacant houses and land cases according to Decree No. 167/2017/ND-CP.6.

Vice Chairwoman of the City People's Committee Tran Thi Dieu Thuy is in charge of cultural works and theaters, including urging investment and upgrading 10/12 theaters that are not qualified to organize performances, such as: Cong Nhan Theater (30 Tran Hung Dao, District 1) and Hat Boi Art Theater and monitoring the works to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and national reunification.
