Reporting to the working delegation, Mr. Doan Kieu - Chairman of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Quang Nam province said that after its establishment, especially after the first congress held at the end of December 2024, the association's activities have gradually stabilized, with many programs and plans set out for 2025 and the following years.
The whole Quang Nam province currently has more than 65,480 martyrs, 32,470 wounded and sick soldiers, 49,000 people who helped the revolution, 33,000 people who participated in the resistance war and were awarded medals of all kinds...
Quang Nam has 15,360 mothers who have been awarded or posthumously awarded the title of Vietnamese Heroic Mother, of which 289 are still alive. Policy families and meritorious people account for 23% of the province's population.
Visiting and wishing a happy new year to the staff of the Association for Supporting Families of Martyrs of Quang Nam province, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Dung acknowledged and highly appreciated the initial stable operation of the association.
At the same time, he said that the establishment of the association is extremely important, as it is a unit that directly participates with the community in activities to honor and show gratitude to martyrs, first of all, contributing to removing and resolving concerns in policies for martyrs and their families.
Comrade Le Van Dung hopes that, with the spirit of solidarity and unity, the association members will continue to promote their leading role in supporting martyrs' families to access the current regimes and policies of the Party and State.
On the basis of participating in collecting information, searching for the remains of lost martyrs and supporting the identification of martyrs' information, the association continues to research, propose to state management agencies and provide social feedback on solutions to implement policies to honor and show gratitude to heroic martyrs and martyrs' families...
