(NLĐO) - Due to the possibility of sudden and adverse developments in the injuries sustained by the fire victims in the following days, specialized emergency medical equipment is required.
On the afternoon of December 19th, Dr. Nguyen Cong Huu, Director of E Hospital ( Hanoi ), announced that four victims of the arson attack on a coffee shop in Hanoi had been transferred to Bach Mai Hospital for treatment.
According to Doctor Huu, after receiving the four victims of the coffee shop fire on the night of December 18th, the doctors made every effort to provide emergency care, treatment, and resuscitation.
On the morning of December 19th, the victims of the fire were being treated at the Intensive Care and Toxicology Unit of E Hospital.
Due to the possibility of sudden and adverse developments in the victims' injuries in the following days, requiring specialized emergency care, on the afternoon of December 19th, the hospital agreed to transfer the victims to the Intensive Care Unit and the Poison Control Center ( thuộc Bach Mai Hospital) for continued monitoring and treatment, ensuring maximum concentration of expertise and the best treatment facilities for the patients.
Earlier that morning, Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan visited the hospital to inquire about and offer support to the victims of the fire being treated at E Hospital.
Among the fire victims, one suffered minor burns to the eyes and another sustained abrasions. Two other cases were more serious and were being closely monitored and treated. Both patients showed signs of difficulty breathing, lung damage, and suspected carbon monoxide poisoning.
The Minister of Health also instructed E Hospital to coordinate with experts from leading hospitals in related fields to consult, exchange, and agree on professional matters, and report to the Ministry of Health on the treatment process, developments, and transfer plans.

Regarding the coffee shop fire, on December 19th, the Hanoi City Police initiated legal proceedings and temporarily detained Cao Van Hung (51 years old, currently residing in Dai Mach commune, Dong Anh district, Hanoi) for investigation into the crime of murder. Hung is accused of setting fire to the coffee shop, resulting in the deaths of 11 people at 258 Pham Van Dong Street, Co Nhue 2 ward, Bac Tu Liem district, Hanoi.
Authorities have now identified the identities of six of the eleven deceased victims.
