In a video circulating on social media, referee Anthony Taylor and his family are seen being attacked by a group of AS Roma fans at Budapest airport (Hungary) upon their return to England.
After the Europa League final, manager Mourinho went to the parking garage at the Budapest stadium to publicly berate referee Anthony Taylor, claiming that the English "man in black" had made decisions that disadvantaged AS Roma. For example, he cited the decision not to award a penalty after Fernando handled the ball in the penalty area.
However, the story didn't end there. In a video circulating on social media, referee Anthony Taylor and his family were attacked by a group of AS Roma fans at Budapest airport upon their return to England.
According to reports, this group of fans hurled abusive language at referee Anthony Taylor. Not only that, they also threw water, spat, and even hurled chairs at the English referee.
Budapest airport security had a difficult time protecting referee Anthony Taylor and his family as they made their way to the private waiting area. Some of his companions were assaulted by AS Roma fans and required police intervention.

Immediately, the English refereeing authority (PGMOL) issued a statement: "PGMOL has reviewed the videos circulating on social media in which referee Anthony Taylor and his family were harassed and abused at Budapest airport."
We are truly appalled by the senseless abuse inflicted on Anthony Taylor and his family. We will provide him with our full support."
It cannot be ruled out that coach Mourinho will face a heavy penalty from the European Football Federation (UEFA) for attacking the referee. Furthermore, AS Roma also faces the risk of receiving a similar penalty.
