From November 6-9, at the ICE Hanoi International Exhibition Center, the 2024 International Exhibition on Food, Beverages and Processing Technology Equipment, Food and Beverage Packaging (Vietfood & Beverage - Propack) will take place, with the participation of 350 booths and more than 300 businesses.

In recent years, the Vietnamese economy has experienced strong growth, with the Food and Beverage (F&B) industry making a significant contribution. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the Vietnamese F&B market is projected to reach VND 655 trillion, representing a 10.92% increase compared to 2023, making it one of the countries with the potential for exceptional growth over the next five years.
In Northern Vietnam alone, 2024 witnessed a strong development of food and beverage business models, notably the emergence of new brands that capitalize on trends and attract a large number of young customers, leading to a significant increase in franchise activity from major cities like Hanoi and Hai Phong to many neighboring provinces and cities.
In particular, according to the market report of iPOS.vn Joint Stock Company, in the first months of 2024, the number of food and beverage establishments in the North, specifically Hanoi, increased rapidly, accounting for a large proportion (nearly 23.3%) and becoming the second largest region nationwide in the F&B business. Furthermore, thanks to 16 restaurants on the Bib Gourmand 2024 list (delicious and reasonably priced) and 5 new restaurants on the Michelin Selected 2024 list in the Michelin Guide, the F&B industry in Hanoi has marked significant growth.
Simultaneously, the explosion of social media, coupled with the trend of product reviews and check-ins at restaurants and cafes, has impacted consumer psychology. A survey by Reputa – a system for monitoring and analyzing online information – shows that over 80% of purchasing decisions are influenced by online information. Furthermore, customers are increasingly interested in brands that prioritize convenience, environmental friendliness, and community contribution.
The above positive signs make the F&B industry in Vietnam increasingly competitive, requiring businesses and manufacturers to constantly change and find new ways to approach the market.

At the food stalls, TH Group showcased its TH true food brand, offering convenient food products such as smoked meat, sausages, rice, and dried fruits, allowing consumers to prepare meals quickly in just a few minutes. The beverage stalls featured Golden Farm, a brand specializing in products like jams, smoothies, and syrups made from fresh fruit, suitable for direct consumption or as cooking ingredients for the family.
In addition, two brands, Great Eastern and Gia Thinh Phat, specialize in supplying syrups, teas, and industrial tapioca pearls, and are partners with many famous beverage chains; the Luong Gia brand also participated in the exhibition with dried fruit products and specialized products for the beverage industry such as fruit syrups, fruit purees, fruit fillings, topfills, and choppy.
In particular, for food and beverage products to have a distinct identity in the market, the role of businesses supplying machinery, equipment for production and packaging is indispensable, such as VMS brand collaborating with famous brands like Suntory Pepsico, Heineken beer, and Trung Nguyen coffee.
