This morning's trading session (August 21), the stock market continued to witness the excitement of banking stocks. In particular, the three codesVIB , STB and TPB all increased to the maximum limit, being the "brightest" stocks in the VN30 group.
VIB shares of VIB International Bank, chaired by Mr. Dang Khac Vy, have been traded for more than 14.6 million shares.
At the end of the morning session, VIB shares were sought after by investors with over 11.4 million units remaining at the ceiling price, with no sellers. At VND23,400/unit, the stock price is at its highest in 3 years.

Similarly, the "no sell side" situation also happened with STB and TPB. STB shares of Saigon Thuong Tin Commercial Joint Stock Bank - Sacombank , chaired by Mr. Duong Cong Minh, had a ceiling price buy surplus of more than 1.3 million units.
TPB shares of Tien Phong Commercial Joint Stock Bank ( TPBank ), chaired by Mr. Do Minh Phu, had a ceiling purchase surplus of more than 9.3 million units.
In particular, TPB stock has the greatest attraction in the VN30 group with high liquidity, reaching over 72.5 million units.
Some other bank stocks on the HoSE also hit the ceiling, such as OCB and MSB. Liquidity for each code recorded several tens of millions of units.
Large cash flows into the banking group caused stocks to increase simultaneously and reach the ceiling. Many codes increased by over 6% such as VBB, SSB, KLB, BVB, NVB.
At the end of the morning session, VN-Index increased by more than 18.8 points to 1,683 points. Although the index increased, the HoSE and HNX exchanges still saw more stocks decreasing in price than increasing in price. Liquidity reached about VND27,600 billion.
