Speaking at the meeting, Secretary of the Kien Giang Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Tien Hai said that Kien Giang province has issued a specific plan to organize a ceremony to announce the National Assembly's resolution on the arrangement of provincial-level administrative units and the Central Government's decision on the establishment of the An Giang Provincial Party Committee; a ceremony to announce the National Assembly Standing Committee's resolution on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units and the decision to establish Party committees of communes, wards, and special economic zones under the province, to be completed on June 30.
Accordingly, the announcement ceremony for the provincial level starts at 8:00 a.m. and for the commune level starts at 3:00 p.m.

Kien Giang provincial leaders said that the headquarters of provincial agencies after the merger are basically adequate, but need to be renovated and repaired. Machinery, equipment, and furniture will utilize existing assets.
The report said that after the merger, there were 2,228 An Giang officials, civil servants and public employees needing housing in Kien Giang, of which 903 people registered for official housing, the rest rented houses. Kien Giang proposed 3 options for housing and rented houses.
To reduce traffic pressure, costs, pollution and accidents, departments and branches of Kien Giang and An Giang provinces proposed an electric bus route to serve officials, civil servants and public employees after the merger.
Vice Chairman of Kien Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong requested departments and branches to urgently review and supplement office equipment before July 1 to operate normally after the province's merger. The Department of Finance must complete the report, handle surplus assets and coordinate in building financial reports, public investment, and socio-economic development plans of the two provinces.
