Announcing a natural disaster emergency situation for the landslide location on the road from Quan Son to Tam Lu

In this Decision, the Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee decided to declare a natural disaster emergency situation for the landslide location at about Km0+750 on the road from Quan Son commune center to Tam Lu commune.

Accordingly, the impact of storm No. 3 in 2025 (storm Wipha) and rain after the storm caused a landslide on the positive slope at about Km0+750 on the left side of the road from the center of Quan Son commune to Tam Lu commune, filling up the entire road surface, causing traffic jams.

The length of the landslide area is about 110m, the height is about 30m; on the top there is a sliding arc, the longitudinal crack is about 180m long, the sliding arc crack is about 50cm wide, about 65m from the current landslide location.

To ensure the safety of people and property, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of Quan Son commune to set up warning signs and set up barriers in the dangerous landslide area, not allowing people and livestock to enter the above-mentioned area. At the same time, there must be a plan to regulate and ensure traffic for people in the area; implement measures to widely inform, propagate and warn about the landslide location, so that people know and proactively take preventive and response measures.

Thanh Hoa Newspaper and Radio - Television Station inform and warn about the above emergency situation so that people know and proactively prevent it.

Regarding remedial measures to ensure long-term safety, the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee assigned the People's Committee of Quan Son commune to study the content of Official Dispatch No. 6873/SXD-QLHT dated August 12, 2025 of the Department of Construction and current legal regulations to decide to implement the project in the form of emergency works (Quan Son commune People's Committee issued an Order to construct emergency works) to ensure compliance with regulations.

The Department of Finance shall urgently preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Quan Son commune and related units; based on current legal regulations, advise and propose to competent authorities to consider and decide on financial support to handle and overcome landslides in the above-mentioned area according to regulations.

The Departments of Agriculture and Environment, Construction and related units, according to their assigned functions and tasks, are responsible for coordinating and guiding the People's Committee of Quan Son commune during the implementation process, ensuring compliance with regulations. This Decision takes effect from the date of signing and promulgation.
