Transport Trade Union gives gifts and encourages maritime and road workers in the Western region

Chairman of Vietnam Transport Trade Union Pham Hoai Phuong recently visited and encouraged transport workers in Can Tho and Soc Trang .

At Can Tho Maritime Port Authority (Vietnam Maritime Administration Trade Union) and Dai Ngai ferry (Soc Trang province) belonging to Vam Cong ferry cluster, Road Management Area IV (Vietnam Road Administration), Chairman of Vietnam Transport Trade Union Pham Hoai Phuong visited and encouraged workers who are performing their duties day and night, ensuring maritime security and road safety.

Giving gifts to workers in difficult circumstances from the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Charity Fund, the Chairman of the industry union encouraged workers to strive to overcome difficulties, complete their tasks well, and contribute to the results of the unit and the industry.

Emphasizing the role of trade unions in caring for workers, Chairman of the Vietnam Transport Trade Union Pham Hoai Phuong requested that trade unions of units promptly and proactively coordinate with professionals, pay attention to working conditions, ensure salaries, bonuses, and workers' lives, especially during the upcoming Lunar New Year 2025.

Mr. Phuong also noted that the specificity of the transport sector is that its units are spread across localities, provinces and cities; many union members and workers are facing difficulties. Therefore, trade unions at all levels need to promote the spirit of solidarity, proactiveness, timely professional coordination to promote emulation movements in all fields, compete to achieve achievements to welcome Party Congresses at all levels, and celebrate the 80th anniversary of the tradition of the transport sector (August 28, 1945 - August 28, 2025).

At the same time, strengthen solutions to improve working conditions and environment, ensure safety in production labor; regularly pay attention to, propagate and train labor safety and hygiene contents for workers with diverse and rich contents and forms.

For proactive workers, it is necessary to actively and voluntarily strictly implement regulations and measures to prevent occupational accidents and diseases, equip themselves with skills to protect their health and lives; cultivate and self-study to improve professional skills and discipline at work.
