Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant Trade Union: Solidarity and innovation for sustainable development

During the 2022-2025 term, the Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant Trade Union has done a good job of taking care of the lives and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of workers.

Ensure the regime, policies and benefits of employees

Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant is one of the key units of Vietnam Electricity Group (EVN), carrying out the "mission" of ensuring national energy security. Over the years, the Party Committee and the Factory's Trade Union have always coordinated to create a stable working environment, minimize labor conflicts and ensure that all policies and benefits are implemented transparently and fairly.

The factory currently has 611 staff, workers and employees (CNVCLĐ), including 97 women. In terms of professional qualifications: 45 masters, 267 university graduates, 117 college graduates, 154 intermediate graduates and 28 technical workers. The life and work of the workers are maintained stably, the average income of each year is higher than the previous year. The collective of employees trusts the leadership of the Party Committee, the management of the profession and continues to accompany and share with the Factory in the new development stage.

According to the report of the Executive Committee of the Trade Union at the 2nd Congress of the Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant Trade Union, term 2025-2030, during the past term, the Factory Trade Union has proactively and actively participated in building and implementing policies and regimes for employees. The Unit has coordinated with the Factory Director to issue regulations on coordination between the Trade Union and the profession, regulations on management and use of social assistance funds and regulations on spending of welfare funds.

The Union participates in building regulations on wages and bonuses, ensuring full social insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance for employees.

Every year, 100% of affiliated units organize Labor Conferences according to instructions. The Factory Union cooperated with specialized departments to successfully organize the 2025 Labor Conference, electing the People's Inspectorate and delegates to attend the EVN Conference. Labor relations between managers and employees are harmonious, stable, and without disputes.

Occupational safety and hygiene is identified as a key task. Develop a labor protection plan, provide adequate protective equipment and tools suitable for each profession, perform well in occupational safety and hygiene, and create a "Bright - green - clean" working environment.

At the same time, the Union regularly maintains periodic health check-ups: 611 people in 2022, 634 in 2023, 646 in 2024 and 605 in 2025; a total of 114 people are classified as health types 4 and 5, no cases of occupational diseases are detected.

During the Lunar New Year, the factory's Trade Union coordinates with professionals to take care of the material and spiritual lives of employees with a total amount of over 735 million VND in Tet gifts, 32.5 million VND in support for those on duty during Tet, and 36 million VND to visit families of policy beneficiaries and employees in difficult circumstances.

The factory leadership and the Trade Union focus on the spirit of "The whole leaf covers the torn leaf", "When drinking water, remember the source". The Trade Union coordinates with the professional staff to mobilize 100% of employees to contribute to the EVN social support fund for the years 2022-2024 with a total amount of 395.6 million VND, participate in local charity funds such as the Association for the Protection of the Disabled and Orphans of Vinh Tan Commune (old), the Tuy Phong District Education Promotion Association (old), the Waves and Computers for Children program, and support the construction and repair of many houses for the poor in the locality.

In particular, the Union coordinated with local units to implement the youth project "Rural concrete using ash and slag", building a 234.5m long road in Vinh Phuc village, Vinh Tan commune, Tuy Phong district, Binh Thuan province (old) - where the Factory is located.

Goals and directions in the new term

The Trade Union of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant sets the goal of "All for the sustainable development of the Plant - for the lives of workers", striving to build a strong and comprehensive team of employees and a Trade Union organization, united to exceed the annual plan.

The focus is on innovating the content and methods of operation, focusing on union members and workers, performing well the representative function, caring for and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of employees, participating in managing and supervising the implementation of collective labor agreements and policies of Vietnam Electricity Group.

The Union identifies the core task as improving the qualifications, sense of discipline and implementing EVN culture in each worker, launching patriotic emulation movements, contributing to building a team of electricity workers to meet the requirements of industrialization and modernization of the country.

In the coming time, the Trade Union of Vinh Tan 4 Thermal Power Plant will continue to innovate and improve the effectiveness of gathering and mobilizing workers. At the same time, perfect the organizational model, build a team of professional, qualified and capable trade union officials. Strengthen the Party's leadership over trade union organization and activities.
