According to InStyle magazine , for this formal occasion, Princess Kate Middleton impressed the fashion world by choosing a design from Dior – the iconic French fashion house – for the first time.
This pale pink coat is from the 2024 collection, redesigned by Creative Director Maria Grazia Chiuri as a tribute to the iconic "New Look" style that Dior introduced in 1947 – celebrating feminine silhouettes and delicate structures.
To complete her look, Kate Middleton wore a matching hat designed by Jess Collett and two precious pieces of jewelry: Collingwood pearl earrings that once belonged to Princess Diana and a three-tiered necklace that belonged to Queen Elizabeth II.

While the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle, has worn Dior numerous times, this marks Kate Middleton's first appearance with the brand – a symbolic step as fashion becomes a soft tool to strengthen diplomatic relations and promote the friendly, tactful, and courteous image of the British royal family.
Kate Middleton is slowly making a comeback after cancer treatment.
Kate Middleton's appearance on this visit comes just a week after she shared candidly about her cancer treatment journey during a visit to Colchester Hospital in Essex on July 2nd.
After being diagnosed with cancer in early 2024, Kate Middleton completed treatment last September and announced she was in remission in January. However, she also emphasized that the post-treatment journey was not easy.

"You appear strong and resilient throughout the treatment. But when the treatment is over, you think you can return to a normal life. In reality, the period that follows is very, very difficult."
"You're no longer under close medical supervision, but you can't yet return to your normal routine. So, having someone to be with you, listen, and guide you during this time is really essential," shared Kate Middleton.
Royal biographer Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, commented: "Kate Middleton is back, but she's doing it cautiously, at her own pace."
Her priorities have shifted; now, Kate Middleton listens to her body instead of trying to please everyone.
Perhaps the public has become accustomed to seeing Kate Middleton looking radiant again and assumes she will appear as frequently as before.
But in reality, she's on a long journey, prioritizing what truly matters: family, health, and a sustainable recovery."
The British royal family welcomed the French president with a special ceremony.
Following the welcoming ceremony at RAF Northolt Air Base, Prince William, Princess Kate Middleton, along with King Charles and Queen Camilla, joined the French President and First Lady in a horse-drawn carriage procession through Windsor.
This is a rare ritual reserved only for state visits, demonstrating the level of respect the British Royal Family has for distinguished guests.
This visit took place at Windsor Castle instead of Buckingham Palace, as the latter is undergoing restoration until 2027. It was also the first state visit to Windsor since 2014.

Despite playing a key role in French President Emmanuel Macron's state visit, it remains unconfirmed whether Princess Kate Middleton will attend the state dinner on the evening of July 9th.
The last time she wore a crown at a similar event was in 2023, before being diagnosed with cancer.
Following the procession, King Charles and Queen Camilla invited President Macron and his wife to lunch at the Windsor Castle ballroom – where the two high-ranking guests also stayed throughout their visit, which lasted until July 10th.
