Speaking at the closing of the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly on the morning of June 29, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man said that the recently concluded 7th session had the largest volume of legislative work since the beginning of the term.

Also at the session, personnel matters were handled strictly in accordance with the regulations of the Party and the laws of the State. The National Assembly elected the President, the Chairman of the National Assembly, the Vice-Chairmen of the National Assembly, and members of the Standing Committee of the National Assembly; approved the appointments of the Deputy Prime Minister, the Minister of Public Security , etc., achieving high consensus and unity among the National Assembly deputies.

The National Assembly spent 2.5 days questioning three ministers and the State Auditor General on four areas: Natural Resources and Environment, Industry and Trade, Culture, Sports and Tourism, and State Audit. Deputy Prime Ministers and members of the Government also participated in answering the questions. The National Assembly provided input on the content for the issuance of a Resolution on questioning and answering questions at the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly.

The Speaker of the National Assembly stated that, at the session, with a high approval rate, the National Assembly voted to pass 11 laws and 21 resolutions, including 3 normative legal resolutions.

The National Assembly gave its initial opinions on 11 draft laws; reviewed the supplementary assessment report on the results of implementing the socio-economic development plan and the state budget for 2023 and the situation in the first months of 2024; and approved the final accounts of the state budget for 2022...

The Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized that, in order to ensure that the law is implemented fairly, strictly, consistently, promptly, effectively, and efficiently, the National Assembly requests the Government, the National Assembly's agencies, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, the State Audit Office, and relevant agencies and organizations to focus on directing, thoroughly understanding, and promptly implementing effectively the laws and resolutions recently passed at the 7th session.

Emphasizing that the 7th session of the 15th National Assembly was a great success, the Speaker of the National Assembly stated that the National Assembly acknowledges and highly appreciates the determination, efforts, close coordination, timeliness, and effectiveness among the agencies of the National Assembly, the Government, the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuracy, and other relevant agencies and organizations in meticulously and effectively preparing each item of the session.

The 7th session of the 15th National Assembly has concluded after more than 27 days of work.

"Thanks to this, despite adjustments to the program and content, including urgent, difficult, and complex issues, the process was still ensured to be smooth, cautious, flexible, and effective in management, with high consensus and unity among the National Assembly deputies," the Speaker of the National Assembly emphasized.

According to the Speaker of the National Assembly, the international situation may remain complex and unpredictable in the coming period. Domestically, alongside opportunities and advantages, our country continues to face many new difficulties and challenges.

"We believe that, under the correct, close, and timely leadership and guidance of the Party; the proactive, supportive, flexible, close, and effective supervision of the National Assembly; the decisive, effective, and efficient management, direction, and operation of the Government; the close coordination of all sectors, levels, and localities; the synchronized involvement of the entire political system; and the efforts and endeavors of the entire Party, people, army, and business community, our country will certainly overcome difficulties and challenges, achieve the highest possible results in socio-economic development goals for 2024, and contribute to the successful implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Congress of the Party," the Chairman of the National Assembly emphasized.
