In 1990, Quang Minh immigrated to the United States. At that time, he and Hong Dao became close acting partners on overseas stages and were a couple loved by audiences at home and abroad.
After their divorce in 2019, Quang Minh and Hong Dao remained good friends. The actor and his two daughters still kept in touch, but rarely met each other due to the geographical distance.
