Artist Kieu Truc Phuong is currently living with her daughter in a house in District 10 (HCMC). Miss Cua in the classic Cai Luong play Ngao so oc hen is now doing small business to earn extra income. Up to now, artist Kieu Truc Phuong has been away from the stage for about 20 years. When asked about the reason, the cai luong singer said that after the incident of losing a loved one, she could not help but feel sad. In addition, the fact that the stage is no longer like its golden age made Kieu Truc Phuong decide to put her passion aside. "If I went to sing, I would only have one show every now and then, so my life would not be complete. So I chose to stay at home and help my children make a living," the female artist confided.

At the age of 75, Kieu Truc Phuong still maintains good health. She revealed: "I woke up at 3am and worked until the afternoon without feeling tired". During the meeting, the female artist had the opportunity to show off rare photos from her career. The actress of the Cai Luong stage said that when she was young, she worked in many troupes such as Thanh Minh - Thanh Nga 2, Huong mua thu... Kieu Truc Phuong confided: "I can still sing now, but I'm just old. Whenever a stage calls me, I perform immediately, my singing is still very strong".

In her artistic career, the female artist admitted that although she took on many different roles, she was remembered by fans for her role as Miss Cua in the classic Cai Luong play Ngao so oc hen with artists Thanh Dien and Thanh Kim Hue. Referring to this character, the 75-year-old singer said: "I didn't sing anything in the role of Cua, I just sang a traditional folk song to connect with Ms. Thanh Kim Hue. She sang and then I followed."

During her career, Kieu Truc Phuong was close to People's Artist Thanh Kim Hue. Therefore, the passing of her senior made the 75-year-old singer heartbroken. She confided: "The last time we met, she was very healthy. Later, when I met an acquaintance and asked about Thanh Kim Hue, I heard that she was seriously ill, which made me very sad."

In the final moments of People's Artist Thanh Kim Hue's life, Kieu Truc Phuong was by her side, witnessing her passing. "I ran down to her house for about 5-10 minutes before she passed away. If I hadn't gone down in time to see her, I would have regretted it a lot. Before that, she kept calling me to come over to visit, but I was hesitant because I was busy with business," she confided.
