(Dan Tri Newspaper) - American analyst and former officer Daniel Davis believes that Ukraine must accept the reality that its only way to end the conflict with Russia is through negotiations.

In an interview with Fox News last weekend, Daniel Davis stated that the Western strategy of "support until needed" to help Ukraine win the conflict with Russia seems unlikely to be effective.
"There's no way we're going anywhere if we just give Ukraine more things or help them in this way to change the course of the war. That won't happen; it will definitely benefit Russia," he said.
He emphasized: "If we continue doing that, more Ukrainians will die, and ultimately they will still lose this war."
According to a former US officer, the only way for Kyiv to end the conflict is through negotiations.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky recently stated that he believes the conflict with Russia will end more quickly once US President-elect Donald Trump takes office early next year. He added that Ukraine "must do everything to ensure this war ends next year, ending through diplomatic means."
Zelensky also said that he and President-elect Trump had a "constructive" phone call shortly after the US presidential election, but did not disclose whether Trump made any proposals regarding negotiations with Russia.
