Da Nang consults on building a Resolution on developing the city's culture in the new period

On December 9, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang City chaired and coordinated with relevant units to organize a consultation workshop to build a Resolution on cultural development of Da Nang City in the period of 2026-2030, with a vision to 2045.

The workshop is of great significance, contributing to the contribution of enthusiastic opinions, initiatives and strategic orientation proposals for the development of Da Nang culture and people in the coming period. Thereby, creating a solid foundation for the vision to 2045 - the time when Da Nang strives to become a civilized, modern city, rich in identity; a leading cultural-creative -tourism center in the region.

Resolution 01-NQ/DH of the Da Nang City Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term clearly defined the goal: "Building a modern city, rich in identity, with humane Da Nang people, high quality of life, joining the whole country in the era of national growth".

To achieve the above goals, the Da Nang City Party Committee sets out the task of building a Resolution on cultural development.

Ms. Truong Thi Hong Hanh, Director of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Da Nang city delivered the opening speech at the Workshop.

Entering a new phase, Da Nang city aims to build Da Nang into an ecological and smart city by 2045, a free trade zone, an international financial center, an industrial center, logistics, innovative startups, and a livable tourist city of Asian class.

To achieve that goal, comprehensive development in many fields is determined, in which culture must become an important driving force, suitable to the economic, political, cultural and social conditions of the city in the new period, aiming to build a city with sustainable development.

The workshop was attended by many experts, scientists, managers and representatives of organizations and businesses.

Many enthusiastic opinions on preserving and developing Da Nang's cultural values in a new space.

The presentations focused on core contents such as potentials, advantages, and opportunities for cultural development in Da Nang city; bottlenecks and bottlenecks in institutions and resources that need to be removed; ways to exploit and promote traditions and cultural identity, and link cultural preservation with tourism development...

The comments and suggestions at the workshop will be an important basis for developing and advising the City Party Committee to issue a Resolution on cultural development of Da Nang city in the 2026-2030 period, with a vision to 2045.
