Recently, in Phu Quoc special economic zone, there have been a number of individuals who have taken advantage of the right to complain, denounce, and sue according to the provisions of law to commit fraud and appropriate property.
These subjects often impersonate lawyers, legal officers, people with the "power to resolve cases" or incite and entice people to participate in filing false complaints and lawsuits for personal gain.
Common tricks include luring people into class action lawsuits, lawsuits claiming benefits without clear legal basis; promising to quickly resolve cases, reclaim land, and receive compensation if people pay legal fees or complete procedures; falsifying legal documents, impersonating lawyers or free consulting organizations to collect personal information and appropriate money.

In light of the above situation, the People’s Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone recommends that people and businesses be cautious when contacting strangers who claim to be “petition helpers”, “law experts” or “have connections to resolve complaints”. Do not sign documents or collective petitions if you do not fully understand the content and legality.
Do not transfer money, provide personal information, identification documents, land use right certificates... to anyone without clearly verifying identity and legal function.
When there is a request for complaint or lawsuit, people should contact the local government directly (through the Office of the People's Council and People's Committee of Phu Quoc Special Zone), the judicial agency, or a lawyer with a practicing certificate. Refer to legal information from official sources such as the Government Electronic Information Portal, the Ministry of Justice , or competent authorities.
Any fraudulent acts will be strictly handled according to the law. People and businesses need to raise their vigilance, protect their legitimate rights and interests, and coordinate with the authorities to denounce violators. When people and businesses discover such fraudulent acts, they should promptly inform the Special Zone Police or the local working groups of the Special Zone People's Committee for clarification and handling.
