Dr. Le Anh Duc, Head of the Training Management Department at the National Economics University, stated that the university will make some adjustments in response to the proposed adjustments by the Ministry of Education and Training in the draft regulations on student admissions.

In the draft regulations, the Ministry of Education and Training requires all admission methods to use a common scoring scale to assess the similar abilities of candidates. Therefore, all methods will share the same scoring scale; for example, at the National Economics University, the scale used is 30 points.

The National Economics University has decided not to allocate quotas for different admission methods as in previous years. A candidate applying to the university may have multiple admission data points (scores from the aptitude tests of two National Universities, scores from the Hanoi University of Science and Technology's Thinking Skills test, combined admission methods, etc.). The scores from each method will be converted to a 30-point scale according to their equivalent scores. The university will then select the highest score for the candidate's admission.

According to the 2025 admissions plan announced by the National Economics University in early January, the university uses three admission methods: direct admission according to the regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training, consideration of high school graduation exam results, and combined admission.

This year, the National Economics University will consider 4 subject combinations for admission: A00 (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry), A01 (Mathematics, Physics, English), D01 (Mathematics, Literature, English), and D07 (Mathematics, Chemistry, English), instead of 9 combinations as in 2024.
