Among them, there are up to 17 visiting professors with in-depth expertise in the fields of information technology (IT), artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductor chips and mathematics, coming from many developed countries such as: UK, France, Canada, Japan, Korea, Australia and Singapore.
Besides the technology sector, the remaining four candidates have in-depth expertise in the fields of biology, biotechnology, botany, ecology and environmental engineering.
These 21 professors will participate in teaching and research at member units under VNU-HCM such as: University of Technology, University of Natural Sciences, University of Information Technology, University of Economics and Law, An Giang University and Institute for Circular Economy Development Research.
Up to now, after 3 implementation phases, the Visiting Professor Program of VNU-HCM has attracted 49 professors from many countries and territories. With a clear development strategy, appropriate professional content and flexible mechanism, the program is creating a strong driving force for improving the quality of training, research and international integration of VNU-HCM in particular and the Vietnamese university system in general.
