On the morning of July 14th, at the 25B Conference Center ( Thanh Hoa City), the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Thanh Hoa province solemnly inaugurated the 15th Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thanh Hoa province, for the term 2024-2029.

The political report presented by Comrade Nguyen Thi Phuong, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, 14th term, at the congress affirmed that: During the 2019-2024 term, under the timely guidance of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, the close leadership and direction of the Provincial Party Committee, the close coordination of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, all levels, sectors, member organizations, and the active participation of all strata of the people in the province, the work of the Fatherland Front and the patriotic emulation movements launched and chaired by the Fatherland Front continued to develop and achieved many important results, contributing to affirming the role and position of the Fatherland Front in all areas of social life.

The Fatherland Front at all levels in the province has completed 12 out of 12 targets set, with 2 targets exceeding the Resolution's objectives. Outstanding results include: Information dissemination, propaganda, mobilization, and the uniting of all strata of the people, ethnic groups, and religious communities have become more in-depth and achieved clear results. The recognition, honoring, and replication of advanced models in various fields, as well as exemplary influential figures among ethnic minorities and religious communities, have been given attention and implemented, creating a ripple effect in the community.

The campaigns and patriotic emulation movements continued to be innovated in a practical and effective direction, strongly focusing on residential areas, promoting self-governance, potential, and creativity among all strata of the people, and building thousands of models at the grassroots level. A huge amount of resources, worth over 2,905 billion VND, was mobilized from the people to participate in building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, model new rural areas, and socio-economic development.

Activities for the poor, relief, and social welfare were implemented effectively with many innovative approaches, mobilizing the maximum resources from organizations, individuals, businesses, and the benevolent, humane, and compassionate hearts of the community to support and build the Fund for the Poor, the Relief Fund, and provide gifts to poor households, households with difficult circumstances, and social welfare programs worth 1,935 billion VND, and build and repair 4,987 solidarity houses. The work of directing, disseminating information, and mobilizing the people to participate in the prevention and control of the COVID-19 epidemic achieved positive results; the timely mobilization, receipt, and distribution of money, goods, medical equipment and supplies, and other resources worth over 1,000 billion VND contributed to the effective control of the epidemic in the province.

People-to-people diplomacy has been given attention and implemented with many practical contents, organizing many exchange activities and sharing experiences with Hua Phan province, Lao People's Democratic Republic, effectively contributing to foreign affairs in the province.

The content and methods of operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels have undergone many innovations and become more in-depth. Training, education, and professional development for cadres of the Vietnam Fatherland Front at all levels have received attention; many programs and cooperation agreements have been signed to strengthen coordination and unified action within the Vietnam Fatherland Front.

With the theme for the new term: “Unity - Democracy - Innovation - Development”, the Report affirms the determination to promote the core political role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Thanh Hoa province, build a great national unity, practice democracy, strengthen social consensus, for the goal of building Thanh Hoa into a prosperous, beautiful, and civilized province. At the same time, it has set out 10 main targets and 6 action programs with key objectives, tasks, and specific solutions.

This includes continuing to strengthen propaganda, mobilization, and gathering of all strata of the people, promoting the strength of national unity, and arousing the aspiration to build a prosperous, beautiful, and civilized Thanh Hoa homeland. Improving the quality and effectiveness of social supervision and criticism, and participating in building a clean and strong Party and government. Encouraging all strata of the people to compete and innovate, effectively implementing campaigns and emulation movements. Doing a good job in people-to-people diplomacy, strengthening the gathering and mobilization of Thanh Hoa people living and working both domestically and abroad to contribute to building their homeland. Continuing to innovate the organizational structure and improve the capacity of the Front's cadres to meet the requirements of the new period and building self-governing, united, prosperous, and happy residential areas.

At the Congress, Comrade Vo Minh Khoa, Vice Chairman of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee, presented the Report reviewing the activities of the Committee and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the province, 14th term.

During the Congress, delegates focused on several key issues, including: Promoting the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in mobilizing ethnic minorities, village elders, community leaders, and influential figures to participate in protecting the border, maintaining security and order along the Vietnam-Laos border; and the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in disseminating information and mobilizing the people to create green fences in building bright, green, clean, beautiful, and safe residential areas.

The Thanh Hoa Provincial Committee for Catholic Affairs is actively involved in promoting and encouraging parishioners to participate in the movement of living a "good life, beautiful faith, building a peaceful parish, and a cultured family." The role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front is also crucial in promoting and mobilizing the people to donate land for expanding rural roads, building new rural areas, advanced new rural areas, and model new rural areas...

The Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and the Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested that the Fatherland Front at all levels continue to promote the implementation of the campaigns "All people unite to build new rural areas and civilized urban areas", "Vietnamese people prioritize using Vietnamese goods", "Day for the poor" and other social welfare activities. The Fatherland Front needs to play a core role in advising the Party Committee and leaders to successfully implement the campaign to support the construction of housing for poor households, policy beneficiary households, and households still facing housing difficulties in the province during the two years of 2024-2025, in accordance with the spirit of Directive No. 22-CT/TU dated March 30, 2024, of the Provincial Party Standing Committee.

Actively monitor the ideological situation, living conditions, and production activities of the people, especially the situation at the grassroots level and in localities where land clearance is underway for investment projects; the situation of workers in the Nghi Son Economic Zone and other industrial parks; ethnic minority and religious communities; and disadvantaged areas... in order to forecast and advise the Party committees on directing and coordinating with relevant agencies to promptly resolve legitimate requests and proposals from the people and emerging issues at the grassroots level.

Furthermore, it is necessary to focus on building, consolidating, and improving the organization and apparatus, enhancing the quality of activities and operational efficiency; paying attention to building strong Fatherland Front organizations at all levels; unifying the roles of member organizations into a solid political alliance, creating strength to participate in building a clean and strong Party and government. Strengthening training and improving knowledge and skills, building a team of Fatherland Front cadres that are competent, qualified, and knowledgeable about practical matters; close to the people and deeply involved at the grassroots level to meet the requirements and tasks.
