On the morning of December 18th, the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Writers Association for the North Central region (2025-2030) was held in Thanh Hoa City.

The Congress was attended by poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, President of the Vietnam Writers Association.
On the Thanh Hoa province side, there was Comrade Dao Xuan Yen, Member of the Standing Committee and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; representatives of the leadership of various departments and agencies; and a large number of writers, poets, and literary critics who are members of the Vietnam Writers Association in the North Central region (Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh , Quang Tri).
During its 10th term (2020-2025), the Vietnam Writers Association has been actively engaged in numerous activities and achieved significant results across various fields. Vietnamese literature continues to evolve in a more diverse, decisive, and proactive direction. This diversity extends beyond content to encompass forms of expression. Dozens of writing camps have been organized, providing members with opportunities for practical experience, focused writing, and the completion of their works. The Association's second-tier organizations, such as the Literature and Arts Newspaper, the Writers and Life Magazine, the Vietnam Literature Museum, the Writers Association Publishing House, and the Copyright Protection Center, have undergone significant innovation in their operations, keeping pace with contemporary trends. Furthermore, the Association has prioritized the awarding of prizes. The annual prize system has been expanded to include children's literature awards and young author awards.

Throughout its development alongside national literature, the North Central region has achieved many important results. Writers and poets from the Writers' Associations in the North Central region have contributed many valuable works, reflecting achievements in all aspects of life.

These achievements are affirmed by valuable awards. The development of literature in the North Central region, with published works, State awards, Central and local awards, and its spread throughout the country and the region, has affirmed the position of North Central region literature in the national literary scene and in the hearts of readers.

Speaking at the Congress, Comrade Dao Xuan Yen, Standing Committee Member and Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, highly appreciated the contributions of Vietnamese writers in the North Central region in general, and Thanh Hoa writers in particular. Thanh Hoa is a land of "spiritual significance and outstanding people," rich in historical, cultural, and revolutionary traditions, always playing a crucial role in the nation's history of building and defending the country. Especially, nearly 80 years ago, Quan Tin village in Thanh Hoa was the "cradle of resistance culture." Here, many writers, poets, and literary critics were trained and produced many famous works serving the resistance and national salvation. Building on this tradition and the valuable cultural heritage, in recent years, Party committees and authorities at all levels in the province have always paid attention to leading and directing the development of literature and art in Thanh Hoa province. The literary and artistic scene in Thanh Hoa province has undergone many innovations and developments, keeping pace with new trends.

The Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department also affirmed that the 11th Congress of the Vietnam Writers Association in the North Central region, held in Thanh Hoa, is an important cultural event. This is an opportunity for writers to meet and interact, and it is hoped that delegates attending the Congress will take the time to visit and explore famous scenic spots and historical and cultural relics, thereby gaining a better understanding of the hospitable land and people of Thanh Hoa.
At the Congress, members of the Vietnam Writers Association in the North Central region frankly expressed their views and concerns about issues that need attention in creative activities and the Association's work. These included post-war issues, national reconciliation; the need for innovation in literary creation, not only in content but also in form of expression; the adoption of new creative methods; and the need for innovation to keep pace with the "pulse" of life and the times. And especially, literature needs "aspiration" to progress further.
In addition, the writers also addressed the issue of "exchange" and continuity in creating literary works that reflect the "unique identity and character" of the land and people of Central Vietnam.

At the Congress, poet Nguyen Quang Thieu, President of the Vietnam Writers Association, acknowledged and shared the concerns and contributions of the members. At the same time, the President of the Vietnam Writers Association affirmed that no one else but each writer decides the "fate" of their work and the path their literary career will take. After all, each writer needs to return to their own writing story. Literature is not an easy path; for each writer to go further and longer on that path, besides talent, they need courage, dedication, and a commitment to the truth, to the very depths of joy and sorrow... to the very core of life's reality.
The 11th Congress of the Vietnam Writers Association (2025-2030) for the North Central region, held in Thanh Hoa, adopted a resolution. Simultaneously, 38 official delegates and 4 alternate delegates were elected to attend the 11th National Congress of the Vietnam Writers Association.
