“Voice of Vietnam – 80 years accompanying the country”:

The book “Voice of Vietnam – 80 years accompanying the country” goes beyond the traditional printed book format, recreating a typical cross-section of the history of the nation and Vietnamese revolutionary journalism, affirming the role of Voice of Vietnam in the revolutionary cause and development of the country.

On September 4, in Hanoi, Voice of Vietnam (VOV) launched the book "Voice of Vietnam - 80 years accompanying the country" to celebrate the 80th anniversary of the founding of Voice of Vietnam (September 7, 1945 - September 7, 2025).

This is a work that brings together the passion, intelligence and love for the profession of many generations of radio journalists, published by Voice of Vietnam in collaboration with the National Political Publishing House Truth.

Speaking at the book launch ceremony, journalist Pham Manh Hung, Deputy General Director of Voice of Vietnam, emphasized that the book published in these days is truly meaningful, expressing respect and gratitude for the contributions of previous generations who have built and nurtured a sacred value of "Voice of Vietnam" in the difficult times of the country; expressing the determination and aspirations of "Voice of Vietnam" today, which is and will always accompany the country and the people in a new era.

“Hopefully, each page of the book will help readers clearly visualize the development path of Voice of Vietnam; foster great pride in those who stand under the brand “Voice of Vietnam”, so that they can see their responsibility for the future development of the station”, journalist Pham Manh Hung expressed.

The book inherits the publication “70 years of Voice of Vietnam (1945–2015)” and adds many documents, images, and stories from the period 2015–2025, the decade marking VOV's remarkable growth in the context of strong changes in global media.

The book has a capacity of nearly 500 pages, including 7 chapters, reflecting the glorious traditional history in the 80-year journey of construction and development of the Station; deeply depicting the role and position of the Station in the hearts of the nation - people and people.

In addition, the book also reflects the attachment, dedication, and sense of responsibility of generations of cadres, leaders, reporters, editors, and employees of Voice of Vietnam about the noble mission of the Station in connecting the "Party's will" with the "people's heart", connecting the "voice" and "vitality" of Vietnam with international friends; at the same time, conveying the message about the strategic development orientation of the Station in the new era - the era of national growth.

According to Associate Professor, Dr. Vu Trong Lam, General Director - Editor-in-Chief of the Truth National Political Publishing House - the unit coordinating the implementation of the book, during the editing and publishing process, the editorial team of the Truth National Political Publishing House closely coordinated with the book's editorial board to review, compare, and check the accuracy of events, characters, historical milestones and information content of the manuscript based on the official documents of the Party and State that have been published such as the books: " Ho Chi Minh Complete Works", "Ho Chi Minh Chronicle", "Complete Party Documents", "Complete National Assembly Documents", "History of the Government of Vietnam", "History of the National Assembly" ..., consulting with experts on Party history, President Ho Chi Minh and Party leaders, to verify the accuracy of the information, edit, perfect and improve the quality of the manuscript.

Journalist Vu Duy, a member of the Editorial Board, said: “The book retains the basic content of the book 70 years, while adding a section about the period 2015-2025 and the column “Echoes of the Voice of Vietnam” with opinions from Party and State leaders, artists, intellectuals, and the public at home and abroad talking about VOV.”

A new highlight is the QR code section, which helps readers access more information about the development stages, affiliated units, leadership team and noble awards. In addition, the section “Uncle Ho’s stories with the Voice of Vietnam” is carefully compiled, reflecting his feelings and concern for the station.

Published in the form of a traditional printed book, “Voice of Vietnam – 80 years accompanying the country” goes beyond the form of expression, because its content recreates a typical cross-section of the history of the nation and Vietnamese revolutionary journalism.

Each page of the book not only contains facts and images but also stories, memories and emotions of the people involved. Through this, the public can better visualize the process of formation and development of the Station, associated with the 80-year history of steadfastness for the independence, freedom and happiness of the nation.
