Overcoming difficulties, Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company has always received the attention, guidance, and support of the leaders of Thai Nguyen province, Vietnam Steel Corporation, and superior management agencies, along with the unity of the entire staff and workers. The Company's Party Committee has focused on providing coordinated leadership, directing subordinate Party committees and branches, departments, and member units to proactively monitor market developments and advise on the development of appropriate production plans that closely match actual needs.
The Company's Party Committee has also focused on directing the implementation of the principle of buying and selling according to regulations and market conditions, balancing raw materials and organizing production tightly each month, minimizing risks. It has leveraged the advantages of its closed-loop metallurgical production line; applied scientific and technical solutions to production, business, and investment; taken advantage of partial self-sufficiency in coal, ore, coke oil, and recovered coke gas and blast furnace gas to proactively manage production and reduce costs; and maintained, repaired, and upgraded equipment...

Over the past five years, TISCO's production and consumption of rolled steel reached nearly 3.8 million tons; steel billets produced over 1.6 million tons, equivalent to 107.5% of the plan; blast furnace pig iron produced nearly 950,000 tons, equivalent to 101.5% of the plan; metallurgical coke produced nearly 566,000 tons; total revenue reached nearly 56,000 billion VND; contributions to the State budget exceeded 1,500 billion VND; and employment was ensured for nearly 5,000 workers with an average income of nearly 10.5 million VND/person/month throughout the term.
The greatest highlight of the past term was the Party Committee's leadership in coordinating the resolution of obstacles in Phase 2 of the Project. With the attention of the Government , central ministries and agencies, Thai Nguyen province, and the direct leadership of the Party Committee, the Company's collective closely coordinated with relevant agencies, persistently negotiated, and resolved outstanding legal and financial issues.
As a result, on April 17, 2025, the Company officially signed the Agreement to terminate and liquidate the EPC contract with the General Contractor MCC (China) - a crucial turning point paving the way for restructuring the Project, developing a new investment plan, and restoring competitiveness. This result affirms the courage, determination, and leading role of the Party organization in state-owned enterprises.
Besides production and business activities, the Company's Party Committee identifies Party building as crucial for maintaining stability and guiding development. During the term, the entire Party Committee admitted 274 new Party members, exceeding the set target, bringing the total number of Party members to nearly 1,700. Subordinate Party organizations operate in an orderly manner, Party activities are of improved quality; inspection and supervision are conducted regularly, contributing to strengthening discipline and order throughout the Party Committee.

The Party Committee consistently and effectively implements the study and emulation of President Ho Chi Minh's teachings, linking it with the responsibility of setting an example; promoting digital transformation (applying the electronic Party member handbook, holding online branch meetings, innovating propaganda through competitions, and employing specialized speakers...). The entire political system pays attention to the welfare of workers, with practical models such as "Six Houses," "Trade Union Meal," and "TISCO's Warm Porridge Pot," contributing to building corporate culture and spreading social responsibility.
These results are primarily due to the comprehensive, direct, and consistent leadership of the Company's Party Committee in concretizing the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws, and the Resolution of the 16th Company Party Congress, term 2020-2025, into the practical operations of the enterprise. This is coupled with strong support and consensus among cadres, Party members, and employees, demonstrating a sense of responsibility and unwavering determination in overcoming difficulties.
One of the profound lessons learned is the necessity of maintaining internal unity, promoting democracy, and fostering close ties between the Party, professional departments, and mass organizations. Maintaining discipline and order in Party activities, enhancing the sense of responsibility and exemplary conduct of cadres and Party members, especially those in leadership positions, is identified as a key factor in ensuring the successful implementation of tasks. Furthermore, the experience gained from handling Phase 2 of the Project also demonstrates the crucial role of coordination between enterprises and relevant agencies in resolving difficulties, protecting the interests of both the State and the enterprise effectively.

Entering the 2025-2030 term, the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company (TISCO) has set the following overall goals: To continue innovating leadership methods, enhancing the capacity and fighting strength of the entire Party Committee; maintaining internal political stability; building a clean and strong Party and mass organizations. Focusing on leveraging all resources, maintaining stable and efficient production and business operations, and achieving sustainable growth; improving the competitiveness of TISCO steel products; and resolutely completing the Phase 2 production expansion project. This phase is identified as a pivotal stage for comprehensive restructuring, focusing on promoting digital transformation, applying science and technology, enhancing competitiveness, and affirming the company's role as a leading enterprise in the metallurgical industry.
With the motto "Unity - Democracy - Discipline - Creativity - Development," the Company's Party Committee continues to affirm its leading role, guiding TISCO towards sustainable development, worthy of the traditions of Vietnam's metallurgical industry and the trust of the Provincial Party Committee, Vietnam Steel Corporation, and all employees. Regarding production and business, the goal by 2030 is to achieve an average annual growth rate of 3% in rolled steel production and consumption; ensuring employment and improving income for employees. Regarding Party building: Enhance the leadership capacity and fighting strength of the Party organization; build a team of cadres with sufficient qualities, capabilities, and fortitude; promote political and ideological education, linking Party work with production and business tasks. Strive to recruit over 3% more Party members each year than the initial number of Party members; ensure over 90% of Party members and Party organizations successfully complete their tasks; and ensure the Party Committee and socio-political organizations successfully complete their tasks or better...
With the solid foundation built during the past term and the spirit of innovation, creativity, and determination to act in the next term, the Party Committee of Thai Nguyen Iron and Steel Joint Stock Company will continue to affirm its leadership role, guiding the enterprise steadily on its development journey, actively contributing to the development of the Vietnamese steel industry, the socio-economic development of Thai Nguyen province and the country.
