
During the emulation campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024), agencies, departments, and sectors in the province organized many activities.
The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organized 40 mobile film screenings in Ninh Giang, Tu Ky, Binh Giang, and Thanh Mien districts, attracting approximately 2,000 viewers. Nearly 500 thematic books were displayed and introduced during Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day. A thematic talk was held on "The Value of the 70th Anniversary of the Historic Dien Bien Phu Victory for the Young Generation in Building and Defending the Fatherland Today." Youth Union and Association branches at all levels organized 86 activities and programs including sports exchanges, cultural performances, and revolutionary song festivals.
Visiting and gift-giving activities also took place enthusiastically. The Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs visited 9 exemplary families of military personnel and relatives of martyrs who are facing difficult circumstances in Ninh Giang, Thanh Ha, and Cam Giang districts.
Districts, towns, and cities organized visits and presented gifts to a total of 864 soldiers and family members of martyrs who directly participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign, with a budget of 927 million VND. The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee mobilized support for building "great solidarity" houses for poor households in Dien Bien province with a total amount of over 5.6 billion VND. The Department of Health coordinated free medical examinations and provided free medicine to 700 veterans, youth volunteers, and civilian workers who participated in the Dien Bien Phu Campaign...

At the meeting, delegates unanimously agreed on a list of 40 collectives and individuals to be awarded for their outstanding achievements during the peak emulation campaign to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory, to be submitted to higher authorities for consideration and decision.
