Reporting at the session, Mr. Duong Thanh Binh, Head of the People's Petition Committee (under the Standing Committee of the National Assembly), stated that voters and the people highly appreciate the policies of the Party, the National Assembly, and the Government that contribute to maintaining national sovereignty , stabilizing and developing the country's economy, culture, and society amidst a volatile, difficult, and complex international situation.
Voters and the public also expressed their confidence that the Party and State's current anti-corruption efforts have contributed to strengthening the people's trust nationwide in the Party and State's determination to combat corruption and negative practices, emphasizing that "there are no forbidden areas, no exceptions."
In addition, voters and the public are interested in and highly appreciate the results of the official visit of National Assembly Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to the People's Republic of China and the signing of the new Cooperation Agreement between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the National People's Congress of China.

Head of the People's Petition Committee, Duong Thanh Binh, presented the report on the National Assembly's work on people's petitions in March 2024.
Voters and the public believe that, from strengthening coordination between the two legislative bodies to creating a legal framework that helps unleash the potential and strengths in economic, trade, and investment cooperation between the two countries and consolidate the social foundation for Vietnam-China friendship, these achievements are expected to contribute to deepening and elevating bilateral relations.
However, according to the People's Petition Committee, voters and the public continue to express concerns about traffic violations by some young people; the prolonged saltwater intrusion and intense heatwave in the Mekong Delta and Central Highlands; and serious subsidence and landslides in some localities causing significant damage to people's property and homes.
In addition, the infectious disease situation remains unpredictable in the coming period and continues to pose a risk of new variants emerging and spreading; seafood processing and textile businesses lack orders, leading to increased unemployment and unstable incomes; and after the Lunar New Year, some students in certain localities, especially those in ethnic minority and mountainous areas, are dropping out of school.
Voters are also concerned about online gambling, illegal sales disguised as seminars targeting women and the elderly; and the continued occurrence of some scams involving investment or loan schemes, despite intervention from authorities, with difficulties in recovering lost funds and mitigating consequences.
Strengthen the fight against and strictly punish fraud and gambling crimes in cyberspace.
In addition to some issues raised by voters, and directives issued by the Government and the Prime Minister in the past, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly requests the Government and the Prime Minister to direct relevant ministries and agencies to closely monitor fluctuations in supply and demand and market prices of important and essential goods in order to take appropriate adjustment measures.
At the same time, strengthen activities to control goods, stabilize the market, focus on inspecting and checking gold trading businesses, promptly handle violations in business operations and clarify the responsibility of organizations and individuals if there is any market manipulation.

In addition, there should be timely solutions to support localities affected by land subsidence and landslides with funding and solutions to address and remedy the situation, in order to protect people's lives and property, and to protect the transportation and irrigation systems serving production and aquaculture; there should also be solutions to replan the transportation and irrigation systems, and rearrange production and population in a synchronized and efficient manner...
The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development continues to implement effective solutions for preventing and controlling forest fires; preventing saltwater intrusion; and ensuring the supply of freshwater for daily life and production in the Mekong Delta region.
The Ministry of Public Security is strengthening its efforts to combat, prevent, and strictly and deterrently handle online fraud and gambling crimes; directing the police forces in provinces and cities to intensify patrols, inspections, and strictly handle cases of young people engaging in reckless driving, speeding, and swerving, causing public outrage and posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.
The Ministry of Health is strengthening its guidance on the prevention and control of infectious diseases, implementing preventive measures and promptly stopping outbreaks from the outset when signs of disease spread appear.
The Standing Committee of the National Assembly also requested the Government and the Prime Minister to direct localities to promptly organize inspections, reviews, and definitively resolve cases of mass complaints and denunciations, especially newly arising cases.
