Proposing solutions to improve the quality of human resources in the cultural sector of Quang Ninh province

On December 11, at Quang Ninh Museum (Ha Long City), the Department of Culture and Sports of Quang Ninh held a conference to assess the current situation and propose a number of solutions to improve the quality of human resources in the cultural sector of Quang Ninh province.

The conference was attended by Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture andEducation , experts from the Vietnam National Institute of Culture and Arts, Hanoi University of Culture; representatives of Cultural Communication Centers of districts, towns and cities; Management Boards of relic sites and cultural officials at all levels of Quang Ninh province.

At the conference, delegates discussed issues such as: Solutions to improve the quality of human resources for cultural management at the department level in Quang Ninh province; Creating an environment to promote the creative capacity of artists and artisans; Experience in improving the quality of cultural and artistic human resources in the UK and some suggestions for Quang Ninh province; Solutions to improve the quality of human resources in the cultural sector of Quang Ninh province.

Mr. Nguyen Manh Ha, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports delivered the opening speech at the conference.

The conference is also an opportunity for cultural managers at all levels and provincial cultural and artistic institutions to exchange and share the current situation at the grassroots level, thereby making recommendations to remove difficulties and obstacles to improve the quality of human resources participating in the preservation and promotion of traditional cultural heritage in the locality; developing cultural products bearing the mark of Quang Ninh.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Hoai Son, Standing Member of the National Assembly's Committee on Culture and Education, delivered a keynote speech and discussion at the conference.

The comments at the conference will be recorded and consolidated by the Department of Culture and Sports to continue to complete the Project "Improving the quality of human resources in the cultural sector of Quang Ninh province" with the goal of not only assessing the overall quality of human resources in the cultural sector of Quang Ninh province in the period from 2015 to present but also analyzing and forecasting the development trend of human resources in the cultural sector in the coming period, thereby proposing groups of solutions to improve the quality of human resources in the cultural sector of Quang Ninh province, meeting the requirements of quantity and quality in the context of international integration.

The project also aims to concretize Resolution No. 17/NQ-TU dated October 30, 2023 on "Building and promoting cultural values and people of Quang Ninh to become an endogenous resource, a driving force for rapid and sustainable development" as a basis for Quang Ninh to build and develop a team of cultural human resources that are both red and specialized, meeting the set political tasks, contributing to serving the cause of socio-economic development of the province.
