On the morning of October 28, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province and the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa Province announced that Dai Ninh Pass on National Highway 28B and Song Pha Pass on National Highway 27 had been reopened after a long period of congestion due to serious landslides.

Previously, on the afternoon of October 27, on National Highway 28B (section Km45+300 and Km50+300, Dai Ninh Pass, Phan Son Commune, Lam Dong Province), thousands of cubic meters of rock and soil from the hillside collapsed onto the road, causing a complete traffic jam.

Afterwards, the Traffic Police Department of Lam Dong Province, Project Management Board No. 5 (Vietnam Road Administration), and functional forces of Phan Son commune mobilized about 100 people and vehicles to clean up.

By dawn on October 28, authorities had used equipment to clear part of the landslide, allowing vehicles to temporarily pass. However, due to the large amount of rock and soil that had fallen, it may take more time to completely fix the problem.

* On the same day, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Phu, Director of the Department of Construction of Khanh Hoa province, said that he was coordinating with relevant forces to urgently clear rocks, soil, and trees at landslide sites on Song Pha pass (also known as Ngoan Muc pass, on National Highway 27, through Lam Son commune, Khanh Hoa province).

Earlier, on the evening of October 27, heavy rain caused landslides in many locations on the pass in Lam Dong and Khanh Hoa provinces. Due to heavy rain and darkness, the authorities had difficulty accessing the scene and cleaning up. The pass has now basically returned to normal, but some locations are still limited to one lane.

Mr. Dinh Van Tri, Chairman of Lam Son Commune People's Committee (Khanh Hoa Province) said that drivers need to pay attention to landslides when passing through this route. Lam Son Commune has mobilized forces, coordinated with Lam Dong Province to be on duty and regulate traffic through the area.
