Gia Bac Pass reopens after hours of traffic jam due to landslide

After many efforts by the authorities, at about 6:30 a.m. this morning, October 31, the landslide repair work on Gia Bac Pass (on National Highway 28, Lam Dong) was basically completed, and vehicles could circulate normally again.

Authorities clean up fallen trees on the road

Previously, Gia Bac Pass was blocked due to hundreds of tons of rocks and many trees falling onto the road after a prolonged heavy rain, making it difficult for people to travel.

Machinery and equipment were mobilized to the maximum to fix the problem.

Police forces, militia, road management units and motor vehicles were mobilized to clean up and ensure safety.

This morning, forces deployed to fix additional shortcomings and subsidence that still exist along the pass.

By this morning, vehicles had passed through the landslide site.

Currently, the authorities are arranging forces on standby at key locations, coordinating with road management units to monitor and promptly handle situations when they arise.

At the same time, the authorities continue to carry out traffic flow and guidance to ensure traffic safety for people and vehicles traveling through the pass area.
