Car wash services are operating at full capacity as Tet (Lunar New Year) approaches.

During the Lunar New Year holiday, the demand for car washing services in Ha Tinh increases significantly, so car wash shops are operating at full capacity to meet customer needs.

These days, many car wash shops in Ha Tinh province are bustling with vehicles coming in and out to "beautify" themselves in preparation for Tet (Lunar New Year).

According to our reporter's observations, most car wash shops, especially those with spacious and convenient parking areas, are always crowded with customers coming to "refurbish" their vehicles.

According to Mr. Nguyen Tam Duc, owner of Duc Quyen car wash (Le Duan Street, Ha Tinh City), the number of customers coming to wash their cars is 3-4 times higher than usual at this time. Therefore, this can be considered a "money-making" period for car wash businesses.

"Normally, my shop washes about 40 cars a day, but during Tet (Lunar New Year), that number has increased to over 110 cars a day. The business has had to hire 6 additional seasonal workers to meet customer demand," shared Mr. Nguyen Tam Duc.

Reportedly, the current price for a car wash is around 120,000 - 150,000 VND per vehicle, depending on the type. Compared to normal days, the price has doubled.

Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang (Thach Linh ward) said: “ Today is the 28th day of the Lunar New Year, so I took the opportunity to get my car 'refurbished'. Although the price has doubled, it's acceptable. Having a clean and nice car to drive during Tet and spring outings makes me happy.”

Not only Mr. Hoang but most customers agree that car wash service prices have increased during this period.

At the end of the year, car wash services are in high demand, providing many workers with opportunities to increase their income. Nguyen Van Duc (from Tan Lam Huong commune, Thach Ha district), a car wash worker on Ham Nghi street, said: "During Tet (Lunar New Year), I saw that the car wash was hiring temporary staff, so I took the opportunity to apply. I usually work from 8 am to 10 pm. The work is hard, but the income is quite high."

Besides washing their cars, many car owners also take the opportunity to have their vehicles inspected, maintained, polished, and the interior cleaned. These services cost car owners anywhere from a few hundred thousand to several million dong.

It is predicted that from now until noon on the 30th day of the Lunar New Year, car wash businesses will maintain a large number of customers. According to car wash owners, even though there are times when cars line up for a long time waiting to be washed, the service is not done carelessly. On the contrary, they must prioritize trustworthiness and clean cars thoroughly to retain customers.

Despite the busy end-of-year schedule, car owners are very satisfied when they receive their clean, shiny cars. As for the car wash owners and employees, this peak season will bring them a more prosperous Lunar New Year.
