The Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training believes that based on the decrease in the number of candidates, the enrollment quota of public schools this year has increased, so the competition for 10th grade is lower than in previous years.

Based on a comparison of the score distribution of the 3 subjects this year with the score distribution of the 10th grade exam in 2024, teacher Tran Tuan Anh, Thu Duc High School (Thu Duc City), said that the score distribution of math in 2025 has a significantly higher number of scores from 6 and above. The score distribution of literature in 2025 is concentrated in the range of 5 - 8 points, similar to last year. The score distribution of English in 2025 is concentrated in the range of 5.75 - 8.25 points. The score distribution of 9 and above is much lower than in 2024.

From the above analysis and comparison, along with this year's admission conditions such as the number of candidates taking the exam decreased by about 22,000 students compared to last year, Mr. Tuan Anh predicts that the benchmark scores of some top and bottom schools may increase slightly due to a significant increase in math scores. The middle schools will decrease their benchmark scores due to the high number of quotas.
