Dien Bien welcomed 180,000 tourists during the 5-day holiday.

Tourists visit and learn about the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command Post in Muong Phang.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, total revenue from tourism activities reached VND 330.2 billion (a 2.38-fold increase compared to the same period in 2023). The room occupancy rate reached 99%.

It is known that on April 30th and May 1st, Dien Bien province offered free admission to the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum and other historical sites for people of all ethnic groups in the area; and organized a free "Legend of U Va" show. At the same time, rehearsals for parades and marches were taking place throughout the province in preparation for the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory.

These activities have attracted great interest from tourists and local residents. Tourist attractions and historical sites are welcoming large numbers of visitors; staff, guides, and tour operators are working overtime and continuously to meet the needs of visitors. From now until May 7th, the number of tourists visiting Dien Bien is expected to remain high. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in coordination with other departments and agencies, will continue to strengthen the management of service quality and pricing, ensuring a welcoming and positive experience for tourists.
