Dien Bien welcomes 180,000 tourists during 5-day holiday

Tourists visit and learn about the Dien Bien Phu Campaign Command Headquarters in Muong Phang.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, total revenue from tourism activities reached 330.2 billion VND (2.38 times higher than the same period in 2023). Room occupancy rate reached 99%.

It is known that on April 30 and May 1, Dien Bien offers free admission to the Dien Bien Phu Historical Victory Museum and historical sites for ethnic minorities in the area; organizes the show "U Va Legend" without collecting tickets. At the same time, the province will hold parade and march rehearsals to prepare for the 70th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Victory.

The above activities attracted great attention from tourists and local people. Tourist sites and historical sites welcomed a large number of visitors; staff, employees, and tour guides worked overtime and continuously to meet the needs of visitors. From now until May 7, the number of tourists coming to Dien Bien is forecast to continue to increase. The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism will preside over and coordinate with departments and branches to continue to strengthen the management of service quality and service prices, ensuring to welcome, serve and leave a good impression on visitors.
