Playing the role of a mother separated from her child during Tet (Lunar New Year), actress Minh Phuong cried with emotion while filming the music video "Spring in a Foreign Land" by singer Tuan Cuong.
Tet is a time when both singers and audiences long for cheerful songs that express the excitement of reunion and togetherness, but singer Tuan Cuong went against the grain by releasing " Spring of the Exile " with poignant lyrics and melody that deeply moved listeners.
Singer Tuan Cuong with his music video "Spring in a Foreign Land":
Tuan Cuong shared that he had to suppress his emotions while singing the song because he was so moved by his own experience of being unable to be with his parents during Tet (Lunar New Year). The singer believes that not only he, but many listeners will see themselves in this song. He hopes that everyone who listens to this song will quickly arrange their work to return home to their families for a reunion during Tet.

The song "Spring in Exile" was written by composer Tuan Ho specifically for singer Tuan Cuong, based on his singing style and vocal quality. Composer Tuan Ho shared that when he heard the demo recording, he was surprised because the song suited Tuan Cuong's voice and resonated with his emotions. The song carries a sense of sadness, but it is precisely this sadness that motivates people to try to return home to celebrate Tet (Lunar New Year) with their families.

Meritorious Artist Minh Phương, famous for her role as Mrs. Son in the film "Land and People," was invited to participate in the music video "Spring in Exile," playing one of the two mothers. Although she has played many mother roles in music videos, Meritorious Artist Minh Phương said that "Spring in Exile" is special because the lyrics are so moving.
The actress shared, "Just listening to the lyrics brought tears to my eyes because it touched the hearts of those who are far from home making a living." In fact, she shed tears during the filming of the music video.
Actress Ngoc Tan, known for playing gentle, long-suffering mothers, also participated in the music video as a mother in the countryside. Upon hearing Tuan Cuong's recording, the actress was immediately captivated, deeply moved by the heartfelt lyrics. She said, "Listening to this song, everyone will miss their hometown and their mother."

Joining the music video "Spring in a Foreign Land" at the last minute was People's Artist Bui Bai Binh - a familiar face on television through popular films such as "The Taste of Family Love," "The Girl Next Door," "Our Family is Suddenly Happy," and most recently, "The Lone Path ." He plays the father of a student who cannot return home for Tet due to difficult circumstances.
Besides the profound lyrics and Tuan Cuong's emotional vocals, the music video also features touching visuals under the direction of director Kai Nguyen Hai. He shared that while people usually think of reunion and joy during Tet, he wanted to show a different perspective on those who are less fortunate because they cannot be together with their families.

Kai Nguyen Hai said that veteran actors like People's Artist Bui Bai Binh, artist Ngoc Tan, and Minh Phuong delivered very moving performances, true to their characters. However, the supporting actors, especially the children, contributed to the MV's success thanks to their innocence and purity.
