The Kênh Thôn village communal house in Định Tân commune has been classified as a provincial-level historical site.
To effectively carry out conservation work, the commune has developed a plan and budget for the restoration and prevention of deterioration of historical and cultural sites. In addition to state budget funds, the commune People's Committee and the heritage management teams have mobilized social resources to protect these sites. These historical and cultural sites not only serve the religious needs of the people and tourists but also provide an educational environment, reminding future generations of the historical and cultural traditions of their homeland.
According to Thiều Sỹ Hưng, Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Định Tân commune: “The commune regularly organizes inspection and survey trips to assess the current state of the system of historical relics in the area. Based on that, we develop a comprehensive plan for preserving and promoting the value of the relics, aiming to build a synchronized and complete database of local relics. In addition, the People's Committee of the commune also strengthens the mobilization of social investment in the construction of transportation infrastructure projects connecting the relics, and projects for the restoration and preservation of relics, contributing to the development of tourism in the area.”
Recognizing historical and cultural relics and scenic spots as invaluable assets in the nation's cultural heritage, Dinh Tan commune has implemented specific solutions and objectives to further improve the management, preservation, and promotion of these relics and scenic spots. This has mobilized funding from the community and organizations and individuals to participate in the preservation and promotion of historical relics. The commune also regularly organizes cultural activities, folk games, and traditional art forms associated with festivals at these relic sites to meet the cultural and religious needs of the people. To date, many relics and scenic spots have become attractive tourist destinations, drawing a large number of visitors and contributing to the socio -economic development of the locality.
In addition, the People's Committee of the commune regularly disseminates and guides the implementation of legal regulations; strengthens inspection and supervision of the protection and promotion of the value of local relics; promotes the supervisory role of the community in the protection and restoration of relics according to the correct procedures and regulations of the law...
Dinh Tan commune also focuses on developing human resources in the field of preserving and promoting the value of historical and cultural relics. It strengthens training and professional development for staff working in heritage management. Training is organized for those involved in the preservation, restoration, and exploitation of relics, as well as for management and staff at the relic sites. The commune is gradually building a team of tour guides at the relic sites who possess knowledge of history and culture, and the ability to explain and guide visitors to explore and experience the sites.
Currently, the People's Committee of Dinh Tan commune has established a relic management board and relic management teams in the area, and has also compiled a list of planned conservation and restoration of historical and cultural relics to preserve and promote their inherent values for tourism development. "With the existing potential and advantages, we will connect spiritual tourism tours with historical relics, traditional folk festivals, and traditional craft villages... This will attract tourists from within and outside the province, contributing to economic development, creating jobs, and increasing income for the people," Mr. Hung added.
