Joining the delegation were Comrade Vu Xuan Cuong, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial People's Committee, and the Provincial Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front; leaders of various departments, agencies, and some localities of the province.







The delegation from Lao Cai province visited and offered incense at the Memorial Temple of Heroes and Martyrs at Hill 468, Nam Ngat village, Thanh Thuy commune, Vi Xuyen district. Here, during the border defense battles, the soldiers of the Vietnam People's Army displayed heroism, resourcefulness, courage, and unwavering determination, vowing "not to give up an inch, not to retreat a millimeter," resolutely defending every hilltop, cliff, and high point with the spirit of "Living clinging to the rocks to fight the enemy, dying becoming immortal rocks." More than 4,000 brave soldiers sacrificed their lives and rest forever in this area.
In a solemn atmosphere, the delegation from Lao Cai province laid wreaths and offered incense to express their respect and pray for the souls of the martyrs to rest in eternal peace; they pledged to continue the glorious and heroic tradition, unite to overcome difficulties, excellently fulfill all assigned tasks, and build a more prosperous and beautiful homeland and country.
Next, the delegation from Lao Cai province visited and offered incense to commemorate the heroic martyrs at the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs Cemetery ( Ha Giang province). This cemetery contains the remains of 1,919 heroic martyrs and a mass grave, including the graves of 14 martyrs from Lao Cai province (7 from Lao Cai city, 5 from Van Ban district, and 2 from Bao Thang district), who sacrificed their lives in the fight to protect the northern border of the Fatherland.




At the Vi Xuyen National Martyrs' Cemetery, the provincial delegation offered incense and flowers in remembrance, expressing boundless gratitude and commemorating the immense contributions of the heroic martyrs who bravely fought and sacrificed their youth to protect the sacred borderland of the Fatherland.

Before the spirits of the heroic martyrs, the Party Committee, the government, and the people of all ethnic groups in Lao Cai province pledge to uphold the spirit of self-reliance and strive to excellently fulfill the socio -economic development tasks set forth by the province; to effectively implement social welfare policies, the "gratitude and repayment" work, and the work of caring for policy beneficiary families and those who have contributed to the revolution.
