The monitoring delegation of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Committee worked with Phuoc Khang commune.

On January 17, the Supervisory Delegation of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Minorities Committee had a working session with the People's Committee of Phuoc Khang commune (Thuan Bac) on the implementation of socio -economic development in 2023 and orientations and tasks in 2024; some activities to take care of the Lunar New Year in 2024.

In 2023, despite facing some difficulties, the socio-economic situation in the area was basically stable and achieved certain results. In agricultural production, the whole commune planted 318 hectares, food output reached 805.4 tons, exceeding the plan by 58.4 tons; horned cattle breeding continued to develop, with a total herd of over 6,550 animals. The cultural and social fields had many changes, the quality of education at all levels was improved, employment for rural workers reached 100%; social security policies were implemented. The work of taking care of the Lunar New Year for the people was carried out safely, with cultural and sports activities focused on by the villages, organizing the reception and distribution of Tet gifts from units and benefactors, up to now, 637 gifts, worth over 322 million VND.

The monitoring delegation of the Provincial People's Council's Ethnic Committee visited the breeding cow model in Cau Da village.

On behalf of the monitoring delegation, Comrade Pi Nang Thi Hon, Head of the Ethnic Affairs Committee of the Provincial People's Council acknowledged the achieved results and requested Phuoc Khang commune to pay attention to the arrangement of suitable crops and livestock in conjunction with support policies to increase people's income; continue to promote the spirit of solidarity, effectively carry out the task of socio-economic development. Focus on reviewing and fully implementing policies for poor, near-poor households, and policy families; ensure that all people in the area can celebrate a joyful, healthy, safe, and economical Tet.
