The Politburo's Inspection Delegation worked with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Department Party Committee

On the afternoon of October 14, Inspection Team No. 1349 of the Politburo chaired by Comrade Nghiem Phu Cuong, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee , Deputy Head of the Inspection Team, had a working session with the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Department Party Committee to inspect the leadership, direction, dissemination and implementation of the Resolution of the 13th Party Congress in the Department Party Committee. Also attending the meeting was Comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, Head of the Provincial Party Committee Inspection Committee.

Comrade Nghiem Phu Cuong, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Commission, Deputy Head of the inspection delegation, delivered a concluding speech on the inspection.

Since the beginning of the 2020-2025 term, the Provincial Customs Department Party Committee has closely followed the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, Action Program No. 06-CTr/TU dated August 19, 2021 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee and the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels to concretize the situation and characteristics of the Party Committee. With the efforts, joint efforts and consensus of all Party committees at all levels, Party leaders, civil servants and employees, the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the Resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels has achieved many comprehensive results.

Notably, the Party Committee has always exceeded the assigned budget revenue target. In 2023 alone, the budget revenue was 1.5 times higher than the target; it is the only unit in the province to lead 6 times in terms of departmental and sectoral competitiveness (DDCI); the work of preventing smuggling, trade fraud, and drugs has achieved many positive results; the capacity and fighting strength of grassroots party organizations and party members continue to be strengthened... The Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Department Party Committee are 1 of 4 Party Committees in the whole province to have excellently completed their tasks continuously for 2 years (2022 and 2023).

Comrade Nguyen Van Nghien, Party Secretary and Director of the Provincial Customs Department, spoke to clarify the results of implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress and the action programs of the Provincial Party Committee.

The above results have contributed positively to the targets of Action Program No. 06-CTr/TU of the Provincial Party Committee to implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress. In particular, the activities of the Quang Ninh Customs force in the area have always received consensus and high support from the people and businesses, helping to strengthen the people's trust in the Party and the State.

At the working session, the Politburo 's Inspection Delegation highly appreciated the leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Party Committee, which has brought about quite comprehensive results since the beginning of the term. The outstanding results achieved clearly demonstrate the efforts of the entire political system of the Provincial Customs Department with many valuable lessons, creative, flexible and innovative ways of doing things.

Comrade Cao Anh Thang, Deputy Head of Department V, Central Organizing Committee, spoke at the meeting.

Through the discussion, the Inspection Team requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Department Party Committee to clarify the following key contents: The results achieved in implementing the Resolution as well as the need to specifically evaluate and clarify the targets of Action Program No. 06-CTr/TU of the Provincial Party Executive Committee and propose solutions to implement the targets that have not been achieved; further evaluate the work of preventing corruption and negativity; results of overcoming the conclusions of inspections and supervisions of the Inspection, supervision, inspection and audit teams directly from the superiors...

Speaking at the inspection session, comrade Nguyen Duc Thanh, Chairman of the Provincial Party Committee's Inspection Committee, affirmed that the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee will seriously absorb the Inspection Team's opinions on the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Department's Party Committee and will continue to monitor and urge the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Department's Party Committee to complete the report on leadership, direction and organization of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress in conjunction with the goals, targets, tasks and solutions according to the province's action program.

Comrade Ha Dung Hai, Head of the General Department, Central Propaganda Department, spoke at the inspection session.

Concluding the working session, comrade Nghiem Phu Cuong, Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee, assessed that the leadership and direction of the implementation of the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress by the Standing Committee of the Customs Department Party Committee was relatively systematic, serious and solid. However, some results in the implementation of the Resolution have not yet been shown in detail and specifically.

The Deputy Head of the Central Inspection Committee requested the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Party Committee to continue to study, adjust and supplement the contents that the Inspection Team had discussed, in which it was necessary to deepen the results that had been achieved and to have specific supporting data. On that basis, a supplementary report was prepared, accompanied by full relevant documents and records as a basis for the Inspection Team to re-evaluate some of the contents mentioned for the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Party Committee.

At the same time, it is noted that the Standing Committee of the Provincial Customs Party Committee needs to learn from experience in evaluating Party building work; it is necessary to clarify the role of Customs in the socio-economic development of the province, the fight against trade fraud; the action programs of the Provincial Customs Party Committee need to continue to closely follow the Action Program No. 06-CTr/TU of the Provincial Party Executive Committee...
