On behalf of the leadership of Da Nang Port, General Director Tran Le Tuan warmly welcomed the delegation from Hai Phong Port and expressed his honor in receiving colleagues from the largest seaport in the North. Mr. Tuan provided an overview of Da Nang Port's operations in recent years, particularly highlighting the significant progress in investing in modern infrastructure at Tien Sa Port, as well as achievements in comprehensive digital transformation with applications such as ePort, Smartgate, eCPS, eTractor, eMap, etc., which optimize processes and improve service quality. Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Tran Le Tuan shared: “Hai Phong Port is not only a partner but also a 'big brother' in Vietnam's seaport system with its outstanding scale. This is a valuable opportunity for us to learn from its experience in management, operation, and especially its strategy for developing green and smart ports. Da Nang Port is committed to working with Hai Phong Port to realize the discussed contents into concrete cooperation programs, bringing practical benefits to both sides.”
On behalf of the Hai Phong Port delegation, Mr. Pham Hong Minh – Chairman of the Board of Directors – expressed his sincere gratitude for the warm and thoughtful reception from Da Nang Port. Mr. Pham Hong Minh highly appreciated the dynamism, strategic vision, and impressive achievements of Da Nang Port, viewing it as a model for development among seaports in the region. He was particularly impressed with the harmonious combination of port operations and Da Nang Port's commitment to "greening" its operations. “We recognize that Hai Phong Port and Da Nang Port share many similarities in strategic direction, as well as challenges in the new context. Strengthening exchanges, sharing experiences, and seeking cooperation opportunities in the fields of operation, logistics, and technology application is extremely necessary. At the same time, we have many common customers, so close support and coordination are essential for focused marketing and effective customer service. This trip has opened up many new ideas, and we are confident in a future of close and effective cooperation between the two units,” Mr. Pham Hong Minh emphasized.
In a friendly and open atmosphere, the leaders of the two units discussed issues of mutual interest such as: corporate governance models, optimizing container handling operations, developing logistics service chains, training and developing high-quality human resources, and especially innovation and digital transformation.
The visit and working session of the leaders of Hai Phong Port affirmed the sustainable cooperative relationship between the two ports within the VIMC member enterprise system. This event marks an important step in strengthening the relationship between the two leading seaports in the Central and Northern regions, aiming towards common development goals and enhancing the competitiveness of VIMC and the Vietnamese maritime industry on the international maritime map.
