According to Vietnam Post , with 34 new provinces and cities and over 3,300 new communes and wards, Vietnam Post has to update its routing logic, software, address codes, and even personnel for each delivery route, each order, and each service point.
With the motto "ensuring delivery is on time and service remains uninterrupted," Vietnam Post has prepared early, establishing a new administrative geographical address catalog, developing tools for pre-processing customer address data, and converting old administrative geographical addresses to new ones. Customers can fully use both their old and new addresses while using the service.
To ensure uninterrupted delivery services, Vietnam Post is implementing five synchronized solutions: Standardizing the entire administrative boundary catalog - updating postal codes, routes, communes, and provinces.
Create a tool to convert old and new addresses – allowing the system to understand both the addresses people commonly use; upgrade and test the entire software system – ensuring all orders are delivered correctly; train the entire network, especially postal workers and tellers – to help them guide customers and handle situations flexibly.
Public and transparent communication at service points, social media, and customer service hotlines ensures that people can confidently use their old addresses and still receive accurate service.

For Hanoi , the Hanoi City Post Office has proactively developed production plans based on the new administrative boundaries; reviewed and updated the delivery areas of post offices, adjusted the delivery route directory, and allocated labor appropriately to the administrative scope after the merger.
At the same time, the Hanoi City Post Office communicates to its postal workers the updated information on new wards and communes to determine delivery areas; when a mail item arrives, they contact the customer by phone before delivery to accurately verify the delivery information (customers should be advised to provide the recipient's full phone number); delivery is carried out based on the house number, alley, street name written on the mail item…
Regarding newspaper distribution, while newsrooms have not yet updated their addresses according to the new administrative boundaries, the Hanoi City Post Office will continue to deliver newspapers to the old addresses to ensure uninterrupted service.

Also in Hanoi, Viettel Post Corporation stated that, in essence, its production and business operations have not been significantly affected.
Viettel Post Hanoi's network of post offices is already arranged and organized according to geographical areas, with specific delivery and service routes, so operations remain stable.
The main adjustments lie in the legal and technological aspects; therefore, Viettel Post Hanoi will re-register the business for its post offices according to the new administrative information, and also change the signage to ensure compliance with the names of the merged areas.
Specifically, Viettel Post will update its entire data system on the app and website, synchronizing administrative place names in accordance with the new policy.
This not only complies with regulations but also makes it easier for customers to look up information and conduct transactions, creating convenience and consistency in the service experience.
