Khanh Hoa topped the list in terms of tourist arrivals and tourism revenue among the South Central coastal provinces. The total number of visitors to Khanh Hoa for sightseeing and relaxation reached 578,219. Of these, 175,218 were overnight stays, including 45,168 international visitors and 130,050 domestic visitors. Estimated revenue reached 756.3 billion VND.

The average occupancy rate of accommodation establishments is approximately 70.86%, mainly in tourist areas such as Bai Dai Beach, Doc Let Beach, and self-contained resorts on the islands. The central area of ​​Nha Trang City has an average occupancy rate of around 60% or higher (primarily concentrated in the 3-5 star and equivalent segments).

On September 3rd, Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh, Director of the Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, stated that the number of visitors to Nha Trang - Khanh Hoa during the National Day holiday on September 2nd this year showed a slight increase, not a sudden surge, mainly concentrated on the three days of August 31st, September 1st, and September 2nd.

“The four-day National Day holiday on September 2nd, with its sunny and pleasant weather, created favorable conditions for people to go sightseeing and travel to conclude the summer and inspire children to prepare for the new school year. However, because many families and companies had already traveled during the summer months, and the National Day holiday on September 2nd was close to the start of the school year for students of all levels, the number of visitors to Khanh Hoa only increased slightly,” Ms. Nguyen Thi Le Thanh informed.

Binh Dinh province's revenue is estimated at 555 billion VND.

Ranked second in the South Central Coast region, Binh Dinh province is estimated to have received 204,044 tourists, a 13% increase compared to the same period last year. Revenue from tourism is estimated at 555 billion VND, a 0.8% increase compared to the same period in 2023.

The total number of tourist overnight stays is estimated at 96,000, an increase of 0.4% compared to the same period last year. The average occupancy rate at tourist accommodation establishments from March 31 to September 2, 2024, reached 75%.

The main market for tourists flocking to Binh Dinh province is domestic tourism, primarily from major tourist centers and cities such as Hanoi , Ho Chi Minh City, the Mekong Delta, and the Central Highlands.

According to Mr. Tran Van Thanh, Director of the Binh Dinh Department of Tourism, although the weather in the province was very nice during the National Day holiday on September 2nd, the fact that it was close to the start of the school year for students of all levels meant that the number of visitors to Binh Dinh tended to increase slightly compared to last year.

Binh Thuan: Approximately 510 billion VND

According to a report by the Binh Thuan Department of Tourism, the total number of tourists visiting and staying in the province during the September 2nd holiday was approximately 385,000, a 3.3-fold increase compared to 2023, including about 9,700 international tourists, generating revenue of approximately 510 billion VND.

During the holiday period, the number of guests was highest on August 31st, September 1st, and September 2nd, with average occupancy rates ranging from 80-95%, and many establishments reaching 100% occupancy.

Most domestic tourists visiting Binh Thuan province come from Ho Chi Minh City, Lam Dong, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, other southern provinces, and some northern provinces… concentrating in the areas of Ham Tien, Mui Ne, Tien Thanh, Tuy Phong, Ham Thuan Nam, La Gi, and Phu Quy (Binh Thuan province).

Phu Yen: 93 billion VND

For Phu Yen province, the number of tourists during the four-day National Day holiday on September 2nd did not increase dramatically, reaching 46,500 visitors, a 10% increase compared to the same period last year; including 520 international tourists. This figure is double that of the same period last year.

The total number of overnight visitors reached 27,700, a 16% increase compared to the same period last year; including 380 international visitors, an 81% increase compared to the same period last year. The average room occupancy rate was approximately 60%, with some large hotels and hotels near the beach reaching 80-100%.

Over the four days, the Ganh Da Dia National Special Monument, the Thap Nhan National Special Monument, and the Bai Mon - Mui Dai Lan scenic area attracted 14,475 visitors.

Total revenue from tourism reached 93 billion VND, an increase of 46% compared to the same period last year, of which accommodation revenue reached 16.6 billion VND, an increase of 39% compared to the same period last year.

Ninh Thuan province is estimated to have revenue of 90 billion VND.

The last province on the list is Ninh Thuan, where rainy weather during the holidays affected tourism and recreational activities. However, most tourists booked their rooms at least a month in advance. This year, with approximately 4,706 rooms available, accommodation establishments achieved 90-100% occupancy on August 31st and September 1st.

The total number of tourists visiting Ninh Thuan during the September 2nd holiday is estimated at 75,000, an increase of 15.4% compared to the same period last year (international tourists are estimated at 900, an increase of 28.6%), with estimated revenue of 90 billion VND.

The total number of tourists visiting and staying in coastal areas such as Binh Son - Ninh Chu, Vinh Hy, Ca Na... during the September 2nd holiday is estimated to reach 70-100%, while other accommodation establishments have room occupancy rates of 50-70%.

Ninh Thuan province had previously predicted a sudden surge in the number of visitors, but it turned out the same way as Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, and Khanh Hoa provinces…
