Mr. Tran Ky has been involved in the craft of producing fine art wooden furniture for 24 years now. Each product he makes is a work of art, with both practical and aesthetic value.
Although he produces many wooden household products and handicrafts, Mr. Ky still constantly ponders and thinks about creating new products. In particular, to participate in the OCOP program, at the end of 2022, he created a new product, a wooden fan with the symbol of the Japanese Covered Bridge combined with the My Son Temple Complex.
“The sculptures and artifacts of Hoi An ancient town and the architectural art of My Son temple complex inspired me to create a decorative wooden fan with carved images of these two world cultural heritages.
From there, the wooden fan product “Quang Nam Heritage Land” of the establishment was born, with its own unique features. The fan is made from jackfruit wood with luxurious golden color, elegant brown mother-of-pearl wood color with sophisticated patterns and carvings, carefully and meticulously cared for” - Mr. Tran Ky shared.
The wooden fan is compact so it does not take up much space and is environmentally friendly. The fan is placed in a circular wooden frame, creating a space of a Quang Nam land full of love and openness.
In recent times, the wooden fan product “Quang Nam Heritage Land” of Tran Ky handicrafts has followed tourists everywhere and is popular in the market. Customers can choose the wooden fan to decorate their desks, offices, reception desks, living rooms, etc.
Mr. Tran Ky said that, accompanying the OCOP subjects, in addition to supporting a financial source of more than 160 million VND to purchase machinery, the local government and the agricultural sector of Duy Xuyen district also actively supported the facilities to complete products such as setting up traceability stamps, designs, packaging, labels, websites and logos for the products.
Building product brands and linking production, expanding the market for OCOP products. In the coming time, the facility will continue to invest in modern machinery and technology to increase quantity and improve product quality, maintain the brand, and meet market demand.
“In the context of e-commerce and digital platforms growing strongly, reaching customers through online channels is extremely necessary. Therefore, the facility will continue to improve market access capacity, participate in trade promotion events, increase the use of social networking platforms such as Facebook, Zalo... to promote products, expand the consumer market" - Mr. Tran Ky said.
