Dong Nai 's strengths in attracting tourists.

Located in the key economic zone of the southern provinces, besides its industrial advantages, Dong Nai also has strengths for tourism development, especially ecotourism and cultural tourism associated with the preservation and promotion of heritage values. Therefore, in recent years, Dong Nai has gradually leveraged its potential and advantages to develop tourism.

Recently, Cat Tien National Park was officially recognized by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) as the 72nd protected area in the world to achieve the Green List status.

Son Tien Tourist Area has been recognized by the Vietnam Record Organization with 11 records; its golf course system, especially Long Thanh Golf Course, is one of the most beautiful golf courses in Vietnam; and the Bo Cap Vang Tourist Area was recently selected as one of the 10 most favorite eco-tourism destinations by the Intellectual Property and Innovation magazine in collaboration with the Union of Science and Business Entrepreneurs.

In addition, agricultural tourism and experiential and exploratory tourism are strengths and products that attract more tourists to visit Dong Nai.

Many solutions have been implemented to enhance communication and promote the image, potential, and beauty of Dong Nai tourism. This has helped Dong Nai tourism achieve many breakthroughs, contributing to the goal of making tourism a key economic sector of the locality.

In the 2024 tourism promotion and marketing program for Dong Nai province, the tourism sector has also outlined appropriate and innovative operational directions to achieve effectiveness in the province's tourism promotion and marketing efforts.

Activities to promote the tourism potential and strengths of Dong Nai through mass media have been intensified; a series of publications introducing tourism potential, investment projects, and tourism information has been produced; the image of Dong Nai tourism is being promoted on the North-South railway line and Tan Son Nhat International Airport; and participation in domestic and international tourism promotion activities has been undertaken…

The promotional and marketing activities carried out in the past have not only contributed to boosting the number of tourists visiting Dong Nai, but also attracted investment resources for tourism development. At the same time, improving the quality, effectiveness, and professionalism of tourism promotion and marketing activities has also contributed to building and developing the Dong Nai tourism brand.

From there, we will create consensus and high levels of agreement in awareness and action among all levels, sectors, localities, units, and the people, determined to build Dong Nai's tourism into an important and sustainably developing economic sector. At the same time, this will bring high efficiency, increase investment in tourism; develop high-quality products and increase the competitiveness of tourism products and services.

In the first nine months of 2024, Dong Nai province welcomed 2,723,000 visitors (including 2,642,716 domestic tourists and 80,284 international tourists), an increase of 21%, and tourism service revenue reached VND 1,827 billion, an increase of 34.2% compared to the same period in 2023.

The province has attracted nearly 1 trillion VND in investment capital from businesses to develop new tourism products. These include the Son Tien tourist area, which has launched the Son Tien Amazing World themed park with many high-quality entertainment activities; two new hotels; the Bo Cap Vang tourist area, which has opened a waterfall bathing area; and the Dong Nai Nature and Culture Conservation Area, which has inaugurated accommodation at Ba Hao Lake... all aimed at increasing tourist attraction.

Ecotourism investment activities are attracting investor interest. After the People's Committee of Dong Nai province approved the ecotourism, resort and entertainment project at the Tan Phu Protective Forest Management Board and the Dong Nai Nature and Culture Conservation Area, many investors have expressed interest and submitted applications to register for investment.

In the coming period, Dong Nai strives to create conditions for tourism development to become one of the three important economic pillars of the province: industry - agriculture - tourism.

For tourism in Dong Nai to flourish, it is essential to ensure stable transportation and electricity infrastructure, smooth communication, beautiful environmental landscapes, and clean rest stops. Developing tourism projects requires proper planning.

Therefore, tourism planning will be integrated with the province's overall planning to develop diverse tourism projects with varied products, aiming to retain and increase tourist spending.
