On June 25th, Mr. Nguyen Van Luong, vice principal of Dak Lua Secondary and High School (Dak Lua commune, Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province), confirmed that he had brought 77 students to the district center to prepare for the 2025 high school graduation exam.
Specifically, the school, in coordination with parents, contributed money to rent two sleeper buses to transport the candidates from Dak Lua to the exam site in Tan Phu town (Tan Phu district).
As in previous years, the school contacted the Tan Phu - Dinh Quan Inter-district Ethnic Boarding School (Tan Phu town) to arrange free accommodation for the students. At the same time, they arranged for the school canteen to prepare meals, ensuring the best possible health and morale for the candidates preparing for the exams.
These 77 candidates are referred to as "special" students because Dak Lua is the most remote commune in Dong Nai province, located more than 60km from the district center and more than 150km from the provincial center.
Most of Dak Lua's area is forest, located far from the district center, with complex terrain requiring travel through two districts, Da Teh and Da Huoai ( Lam Dong province), back to National Highway 20, and then on to the district center.
According to Mr. Luong, despite being a disadvantaged locality, the graduation rate of students in the previous year reached 100%, with over 60% gaining admission to universities and colleges. Therefore, all 77 candidates this year are taking the exam under the new curriculum; none are taking the exam under the old curriculum.
To help the students achieve the best results, the teachers at the school have been organizing them into groups and providing free tutoring. "Besides hiring transportation, teachers and parents also accompany and support the students throughout the exam period, helping them achieve the highest possible results," Mr. Luong shared.
