According to Dong Thap Provincial Tax Department, in recent times, the work of preventing and combating fraud in the purchase and sale, illegal use of invoices; and fraudulent acts and profiteering to appropriate value-added tax refunds causing losses to the state budget has always received special attention from the Tax Department and the Police Department.

The police have prosecuted and handled many major cases related to invoice trading rings and the establishment of "ghost" businesses, thereby demonstrating the determination of the two agencies in fighting and handling tax crimes.

The synchronous implementation of solutions to prevent, detect and promptly handle violations of the law in the tax field is considered urgent, contributing to strengthening the overall strength, improving the effectiveness of state management and fighting against all types of economic crimes related to taxes in the area.

At the conference, Dong Thap Provincial Tax Department and Dong Thap Provincial Police Department signed a coordination regulation, aiming to improve the effectiveness of tax law enforcement, prevent loss of state budget revenue, ensure social justice; at the same time, promptly detect and effectively prevent tax law violations with signs of crime.

According to the Coordination Regulations, the two agencies will strengthen coordination in exchanging and providing information; inspecting, controlling and handling cases related to tax law violations with signs of crime.

In addition, the two agencies will regularly support, coordinate training, professional development and share experiences to improve the professional qualifications of officials and civil servants.

The two sides agreed to organize regular meetings every 6 months at the provincial level and 3 months at the grassroots level to evaluate results and promptly remove obstacles in the process of performing tasks.
