The Provincial People's Committee has recently issued a document approving the proposal to study the idea of building a Hung Vuong Tower in the area of the old central market, Viet Tri City.
Accordingly, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Phan Trong Tan recently signed document No. 4769/UBND-CNXD, agreeing in principle to study the idea of building the Hung Vuong Tower in the old central market area of Viet Tri City. The tower will function as a public service building, cultural space, and green area, creating an environmental landscape to serve the people in the long term. It will have beautiful architectural and landscape features and will be a symbolic landmark of Phu Tho province, bearing the strong imprint of the culture and history of the Hung Vuong era, contributing to building Viet Tri City into a festival city that connects with the origins of the Vietnamese people.
The Provincial People's Committee assigns the People's Committee of Viet Tri City to preside over and coordinate with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Department of Construction, and other relevant agencies and units to organize a competition for planning and architectural design proposals for the "Hung Vuong Tower" in the former Central Market area of Viet Tri City, in accordance with current regulations; and to report to the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee for consideration and decision before June 30, 2025.
The Hung Vuong Tower project, when implemented, will be funded from the State budget, socialized capital, and other legally mobilized sources.
